This mod adds a palace to Northeastern Skyrim that you can enter. Despite the dark and cold atmoshpere, it's totally family friendly.

Hi guys,

This mod adds a palace to Northeastern Skyrim as your home. It was built centuries ago as a defense against the Resdayn elves and using only vanilla sources, it has a very old, musty and historical atmosphere. Thick glaciers and icy sea surround much of the exterior, and the courtyards and balconies offer views of Skyrim's northeastern coast, Windhelm, the College of Winterhold, and the Azura Shrine visible in the distance...on a clear day, of course. The interior shows some wear and tear, as expected from an ancient monument, with snow creeping through the cracks in the main door. Nonetheless, the palace also offers warm bedrooms for your family and any fans, as well as a throne that satisfies your vanity.

The aim of this model was to create a family home that truly embraces the cold, harsh, yet beautiful side of Skyrim.

Require:

Please note that this mod only works with Skyrim Special Edition. There is no previous version of this mod.

Additionally, I highly recommend using the Custom Home Page module created by WitchRiser. It allows you to move your family to any home. It's super awesome, I use it myself, and props to WitchRiser for all these features.

Find and buy this place:

Gnar's Bulwark is located in northeastern Skyrim, beyond the remnants of the Winter War and among the glaciers. You may want to take a swim. The location is marked on the map. To obtain the key, you have two options. You can go to the King's Palace in Windhelm between 8am. and 8 p.m., bought a deed to a man named Björk. The deed describes where to find the key (in the safe in Gnar's Bulwark courtyard). If you don't like that much money, you can also remove the key from the lock box. The purchase deed option is for those like me who enjoy buying high-end houses as rewards for things like high-level monster kills.

feature:

The family has an old and rough feel to the palace. Still, it has a lot of what Longsheng is looking for in a home:

-Enchanting and Alchemy tables.

  • Basement, used as a fully equipped blacksmith shop.
  • Weapon racks/plaques and mannequins to shamelessly show off your gorgeous treasures.
  • Bedroom for two children.
  • Three extra beds. WitchRiser's Custom Family Home mod also allows you to move crew members from Hearthfire's home, so I made sure they had a place to sleep. The entourage can also use the bed in this room.
  • Balcony with great view.
  • Attention to detail throughout the home.
  • A warm master bedroom, kitchen and dining room that complement the snowy entrance hall door.
  • No cheating or lore stuff.

I think that's it. Please enjoy and have a noice day ;-)

Update:A

After receiving some feedback, I went back to the editor and improved the lighting inside the bulwarks. The file has been updated.

Hi everyone,

This mod adds a palace to Northeastern Skyrim to serve as your home. It was built many centuries ago as a defense against the elves of Resdayn, and has a very old, musty and historic atmosphere using only vanilla sources. Thick glaciers and the icy sea surround much of the exterior, and the courtyard and balcony provide a fantastic view over Skyrim's Northeastern shores, with Windhelm, the College of Winterhold, and the shrine to Azura all visible in the distance... in clear weather of course. The inside shows some wear and tear, as is to be expected from an ancient monument, and snow creeps in through the cracks of the main door. Despite this, the palace has warm bedrooms for your family and any followers, and a throne to satisfy your vain awesomeness.

The aim of this mod is to create a family home that really embraces that cold, harsh, but beautiful side of skyrim.

Requirements:

Please note that this mod will only work with Skyrim Special Edition. There is no previous version of this mod.

Also, I highly recommend that …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
