Hey, do you like waves? Do you like TianBian? Do you wish there were better waves on the horizon? Well, now it does! Enjoy GKB's Waves; adding new wave models and textures to the coast at Sky's Edge, from the edge of the playable area to Solitude. Waves are the new model (not dragons making waves). These use animated textures and minimal polygons. This has been designed to have minimal impact on fps. The mod shouldn't affect any vanilla assets, so it should be compatible with everything, unless you use the mod to edit the coast of terrain.
The textures are originally from textures.com, the images have been heavily modified to create new textures, and all alpha maps are made from scratch.
Future versions will add waves starting from Solitude and Island waves.
Regarding PC release permissions, you can use these models and textures as long as they are on a new landscape, or a new area added to Sky Edge, and since I plan on adding waves to the other vanilla Sky Edge, they make sense.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
