About this mod Machine translation
Adds snowy visual effects for players and NPCs when snow falls. Affects all living and deceased NPCs and wildlife within a radius. SSE converts Hoax2's popular mod with Obsidian Weathers and Wet & Cold compatibility.
The original Get Snowy mod is open for conversion, so here it is!
The original description is as follows (modified to be relevant to SSE version)...
While I wholeheartedly support Valve, I do not support uploading my mods to SteamWorkshop, please respect this decision.
Special thanks to Chesko for supporting me and allowing me to tweak FrostFall's shaders

describe:
Adds snowy visual effects for players and NPCs when snow falls.
Affects all living and deceased NPCs and wildlife within a radius.
In version 4+ the entire character will have snow.
Version 5.5+ has no snow on the skin (not as consistent as ver4).
Keep it simple philosophy:
Getting Snowy doesn't do anything, it never will, because it doesn't use scripts at all.
Meaning No Save-Bloat, no crash to desktop, no need for SKSE, and simple safe uninstall.
Recommended - Brawl Bugs Patch
It's not required to run Get Snowy, but it can prevent an argument from becoming an actual fight.

Known errors:
-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------
- Certain items (from other modes) will not receive effects. (See FAQ-2 below)
- Snow effect appears in Gray Rain in DragonBorn-DLC. [Install Wet&Cold and provided Snow Snowy patches]
- Invisibility can be combined with snow to produce some strange effects. [Unrepairable]
hint:
- Install Brawl Bugs Patch to avoid brawl issues.
- FYI: To temporarily remove an effect if needed, follow the instructions in the screenshot.
compatibility:
-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------
Brawl Bugs Patch is recommended
- Wet and cold: fully compatible.
- Wet and Cold - Ashes: Compatibility patch for UnmeiX [Available on this download page]
- Obsidian Weathers: Compatibility patch for grvulture [Available on this download page]
- FrostFall: fully compatible with Chesko (if he increases compatibility, such as LE version)
- Footprint: This should be below/after the footstep in the load order. I actually don't know why. [via lendellprime]
- ApachiiSkyHair: No snow on hair [see FAQ-2 below]
- If the precipitation classification is set to "Snow", this will apply to all weather modules
- DragonBorn DLC: Issues in Ash Rain - Bethesda set their Ash to Snow*derp. (See FAQ-4 below) [Install Wet&Cold and provided Snow Snowy patches]
Should be compatible with anything else.
frequently asked questions
-------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------
Q2: "The effects on [x] items in [x] mod won't appear or look weird."
----This is a flaw in the model, not the behavior of the membrane shader applied by this mod.
Please contact the mod/model author and provide them with screenshots. There
Actually I can't solve this problem. (I think
You'll find it works just as well as vanilla frosting magic. )
Question 3: "Can you change the effect to have more/less snow?"
----I can't appease everyone.
Q4: "DragonBorn's Ash has a snowflake effect in the rain. Why not fix it?"
----Install Wet&Cold and the provided Get Snowy patch
----This is only a problem because Bethesda lazily set up their Gray Rain
snow instead of a new precipitation classification.

I recommend saving in the snow first.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
