General Stores

Convert any container to General Stores cloud storage.

This mod adds a new artifact, the Dremora Gem, allowing any non-owned container in the game to be converted into any General Stores container or menu.

It's rare, expensive and can only be used once. Because hey, cloud storage is cheating and makes carrying weight irrelevant. That's why I decided to make this feature resource based. This gem can be found in the world, but I wouldn't rely on it, there are better chances of purchasing it from wizards and misc traders.

Once obtained, place a gem (just one) into an empty non-owning container - after that, the container will be converted into the General Stores main box, providing access to all GS containers:

To customize the regular store, activate the container while sneaking.

Change mode allows changing GS access from the main chest to any other type: weapons, armor, potions, etc. via smart menus or containers. Supports subcontainers (shields, poisons, etc.). Activated containers can be customized at any time without spending more gems.

The original container opens the original storage, converted. You'll find an empty Block Soul gem there.

warn! Restoring will permanently remove GS functionality from this container! To convert it again, a new gem is required.

The mod should work fine with any normal container and activators/containers with linked containers. The latter feature is used in complex player homes such as Elysium Estate and Valkyrja Estate. Any other type of container may not work properly.

This mod overwrites some scripts in General Stores. It only disables the container animation in GS Cistern, which cannot be seen from the player's home anyway. Additionally, it adds gem sorting functionality. Mostly, Dragonborn's Legacy requires it, and this adds even more.

If you don't care about balance and just want to effortlessly upgrade your house without spending money, you can add gems via the console: player.additem xx000819 20

The opening/closing animation is very jerky, any help making it smooth would be greatly appreciated. This is my first real mod for Skyrim.
