About this mod Machine translation
Changed Skype's composer Jeremy Soule's music from Belethor's general item shop to a short loop from another game, and (optionally) changed the costumes of Belethor and his assistants.
After discovering that the composer of the Skyrim soundtrack also did the music for one of my childhood games, Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets, for the PS2, I decided to make a mod using some of that music.
That's it. Gambol and Japes wizard joke shop.
(I didn't use the extended version, I just did a 40 second version loop)
I fucking love the short loop of that place. It's really silly while still feeling real. Its somewhat distant sound does add to the feel of a silly shop tucked away somewhere in Diagon Alley.
The main file also changes Belethor's outfit to resemble the shopkeeper's outfit, but the second file only changes the music.
Belethor also further embarrasses Sigurd by making him wear part of the company's new uniform.
This mod changes the whiterunbelethorsgeneralgoods unit, and the main file also changes the references to Belethor and Sigurd.
If you create a mashed patch, it should be compatible with all modules, even the music module. (This is a patch fix if you're using Wrye Bash, but if you're using Wrye Bash you might want to check out Mator Smash. It can resolve more conflicts. You might also want to keep an eye out for the author's upcoming zSmash release.)

After finding out that the composer of Skyrim's soundtrack also did the music for one of my childhood games, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for the PS2 I decided to make a mod using some of that music.
So here it is. Gambol and Japes Wizarding Joke Shop.
(I didn't use the extended version, I just made the 40 second version loop)
I fucking loved the short loop that place had. It's so goofy while still feeling authentic. The somewhat distant sound it has really adds to the feeling that it's a silly store tucked away somewhere in Diagon Alley as well.
The main file also changes Belethor's outfit to resemble that of the shop owner a little more, however the second file only changes the music.
Belethor also pays Sigurd to embarrass himself even more now, making him wear a part of the company's new uniform.
This mod changes the whiterunbelethorsgeneralgoods cell and the main file also changes Belethor and Sigurd's references.
It should be compatible with all mods, even music mods, if you create a smashed patch. (or a bashed patch if you're using Wrye Bash, but if you are, you might want to check out Mator Smash. It resolves more conflicts. You might also want to keep an eye out for the author's upcoming zSmash.)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
