Frost - Vampire Repair
describe:
This mod was created in response to a request from some Sacrosanct users. This is an attempt to repair their vampiric state, which Frostfell cannot recognize.
This fix applies to almost all vampire overhauls.
What problems will unrecognized vampires face?
Even if you use Supernatural or Immortal mode, a vampire will suffer from cold just like a simple human.
They are not strong against Frost
They suffer from frostbite.
They died while swimming in cold water
frost killed them
What does this mod do?
It will re-enable Frostfall functionality:
Vampires will be more resistant to cold (+100 warmth) [Supernatural and Immortal modes]
Vampires are immune to frostbite [Supernatural and Immortal modes]
Vampires can swim in cold water [Immortal Mode]
Even if you still suffer negative effects, the frost won't kill you. [Immortal Mode]
How about this mod?
This mod changes Frostfall's frostbite condition to avoid applying the effect on vampires when you select Supernatural or Immortal mode. It dynamically changes frost settings based on your status (human or vampire) and restores them afterwards.
Why play around with settings instead of fixing Frostfall's scripts?
My first reason is that I don't want to tweak Frostfall too much as I still hope Chesko will update it and I'm pretty sure he will fix the issues.
The second one is simpler, I can't recompile the Frosfall base script even if I use devKit.
Why can I use this mod myself?
This mod is a convenient way to play vampires should you use Frostfall. I don't like the fact that I have to remember what settings I have to change while playing, it's boring to think about it during my gameplay.
I think a lot of people are like me.
As always, if you don't like it and don't use it, I'll still love you ;)
Are there any disadvantages?
The only real drawback I noticed is that the freeze text notification still appears in the top left corner even without the effect applied.
If you enter MCM you may notice that the settings are not always the ones you set, this is normal and is due to how this module works.
This is a very simple and lightweight mod that can be easily disabled if needed and I didn't notice any performance hit.
compatibility
Even though I created it for Sacrosanct, it works with any vampire overhaul using the global variable "playerisvampire" (almost all).
Install
Can be placed anywhere after Frostfall.
If you want Chesko to update Frostfall, put it at the end of the load order so you can remove it when you fix this issue.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
