Quick run:

I absolutely love weapon mods and feel the awesome mods deserve a breath of fresh air. So here we are. If you like this mod, please visit

Please note:

I have ported and tested this mod in a vanilla and heavily modified version of SSE. The mod manager I use is Vortex and I haven't had any problems so far. Fresh screenshots for reference.

This mod originally also had a model "Replacer" version. I can't get it to work for SSE, so it's excluded (for now).

These weapons can be forged under the Ebony Smithing category.

Install:

Method 1: Install via your favorite Mod Manager

Method 2: Extract the contents of the archive and dump it into the /Data folder

uninstall:

Method 1: Uninstall via your favorite Mod Manager

Method 2: Browse the /Data folder and manually delete the previously copied folder

Most importantly, don’t forget to have fun! :)

The original mod is described below.

As with all my mods, it's free and - EXCLUSIVE if you see it on Steam it's stolen.

describe

-----------------

Adds a new warhammer (2h) and a mace (1h) to the game:

Completely made from scratch.

4k textures (2k also available)

High quality model and properly baked normal map from sculpted highpoly model.

Depending on damage and model, materials are available based on the Ebony category (requires Ebony Smithing privilege):

-Warhammer(2H):

3x Ebony Ingot
2x Steel Ingots (Made from an alloy of steel and ebony, making it cheaper while keeping the same damage)
2xLeather
3x belts

-Mace(1H):

2x Ebony Ingot
1x Steel Ingot
1xLeather
1x belt

Poor, lovely.

No power, vanilla stats (ebony)

--------Change version-------

Instead of adding them through crafting, the models of the horksbane (1h) and troll (2h) were changed, turning them into unique weapons.

You can use both the replacer and the standard version since the naming is different, but it doesn't make much sense...

<<<Changing the version and only changing the version requires DRAGONBORN >>>

Installation directory

-----------------

Select the file you want:

  • Standard 4k
  • Standard 2k

-Replacer 4k

-Replacer 2k

It is recommended that you install only one of them, running the replacer and standard simultaneously is possible but pointless.

I recommend using NMM, but you can do it manually, just download the version of your choice and put the "Data" folder into the two files in the compressed archive:

FFMace.esp
FFMace.bsa

Or, if you installed a replacement version:

FFMace-replacer.esp
FFMace-replacer.bsa

The two must remain together and should not be renamed.

For options, place the contents of the compressed archive in the Data folder and let it merge the folders.

Then activate the .esp in the launcher or the mod manager you use.

If you chose to install manually, to uninstall, delete these files.

compatibility

-------------------

Compatible with anything as it does not modify any vanilla form, just add new items. Compatibility patches for overhauls must be made by the people using them.

Use tes5edit to clean the mod to ensure there are no dirty edits.

Since the replacer version modifies a vanilla weapon instead of adding a new one it may conflict with mods trying to modify the same object, so later on when you load the command I or you won't see the new mesh being used or make a merged …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
