About this mod Machine translation

After a tough day exploring Skyrim’s snowy coast, warm yourself up with a hot cup of tea! From delicious plain herbal teas to more exotic brews with taproot or moong sugar, this recipe is packed with recipes that will have your Dovahkiin settled, hot pot and hearty sighs. (Now brewing with additional DLC ingredients!)

This mod adds several teas that can be made on the griddle. Of course Skyrim doesn't have an actual tea factory, but I tried my best to come up with reasonable recipes based on available ingredients... with the option to add actual water (which is usually considered an integral part of making tea!) Thanks to 7StarC for the lovely Skywater_Survival mod. Note that you don't need the mod if you download the vanilla file option...the difference is that without it you just have to imagine you are adding water to your tea.

UPDATE: Now added options for making DLC ingredient teas, and even more varieties using ingredients brought to you by Dracula420’s Super Growth Plants SE! Want to brew some gleamblossom? How about blueberry tea? Now you can, and your taste buds will definitely thank you!

Major credit must go to the brilliant Stroti, whose Kitchen Tools Skyrim is the source of the teapot used in this mod; and to Tamira for converting these resources to SE, saving me the hours of frustration I'm sure I would have spent learning how to do this.

To that end, I should warn you all that I'm pretty good at modding, so if you think these teas are underpowered or underpowered, or that their effects should be tweaked...well, you're probably right! (Although keep in mind that you're brewing the whole pot rather than a cup, so it should have some staying power...) Any such suggestions will be seriously considered - though note that I'm trying to keep this gear towards relatively vanilla gameplay, rather than survival or needs-based gameplay. However, patches for your favorite mods and customizations are more than welcome!

compatibility:

It should be compatible with just about anything, but if you have any major cooking overhaul mods, it may need patches to keep it balanced.

If you download the main file, you will need Skywater_Survival, otherwise you will be missing key ingredients needed to make each tea (like water!).

If you download the expansion file, you will need more Growable Plants SE to brew all teas. You can use the mod without that file (if you can convince your mod manager to allow it!) but there are some ingredients you won't find, and therefore some tea you'll never taste.

Vanilla files have no mod dependencies. It's the same as the main version in every way except for containing water as one of the required ingredients.

NOTE: As far as I know this tea does not grant any warmth bonuses to mods like Frostfall as I have no idea how these work. Please don't ask me this because I don't even know where to start. You are 100% welcome to make and upload this patch or any other food/survival/etc mod, however! In fact, I'm glad to see this. While I don't play mods as much as myself, I can't think of a better hot drink to thaw your character out in a cold game than a good pot of tea.

Permissions:

Free and open to all and sundry! Go ahead, throw in a patch to add support for Frostfall or iNeeds, or any other kind of food and cooking overhaul, you don't need to ask me first. Remember to include the correct…

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
