You are a powerful warrior and mage, but do you still need to slowly climb the mountain? no longer. FNIS Flyer SE lets you conveniently explore the sky from above.
Multiple advanced functions such as AutoPilot, Echo-Sounder, TravelGuide, and 2 different camera positions bring you a pleasant travel experience. But beware: if you're looking to quickly fly across all walls, or shoot enemies from above, you're in the wrong place. Instead, you get a mod that will give you an easy and convenient way to travel to known locations and search for new ones in hard-to-reach locations. It uses the latest FNIS technology (Animation Driven Animation with Boosting) to provide a relatively gentle implementation for your CPU.
Require:
SKSE64 (2.0.4 alpha or newer)
SkyUI (5.2SE or newer)
FNIS SE
important! Do not activate ADW support if Flying Mod or Nephilim are installed!

usage
Easy to get started:
Go somewhere outside.
If you are in a fortified city (Markarth, Riften, Solitude, Whiterun, Windhelm) go outside (or you can use FNIS Flyer with G keys)
Select and use "FNIS Flyer Shout"
Press ESC and open "Mod Configuration" -> "FNIS Flyer"
Select the city of your choice
Press "P" (Autopilot)
enjoy the ride
Press "H" (Help) to view possible actions
Watch the regular "Instruments" display in the upper left corner
Press "C" when you are at your destination (quick descent)
Press "Z" ("Y" on the "qwertz" keyboard) when you are close to the ground to exit Flyer
How this works:
Unlike Skyrim or other flight modes, you don't have to keep pressing keys. In contrast, FNIS Flyer has predefined speed levels (Front 4, Back 1, Up 2, Down 2, Right 1, Left 1). Press a key to advance to the next speed level, or decrease it when pressing the opposite key.
Unfortunately, once the character leaves the ground, it loses all collision detection. Independent of how it is implemented. Anyway, in order to detect obstacles, FNIS Flyer has echo sounding capabilities. The echo sounder will detect at least 98% of obstacles in time. But it's not perfect. So don't complain when you find a way how to trick it.
The echo sounder will reduce its speed (or adjust its path in the case of autopilot) whenever it detects an obstacle in the player's projected path. Sometimes you even find things that don't exist. Maybe granular, simple engine hickups. Just increase the speed again and don't get mad. You'll get used to it.
Don't be afraid to fly around if you don't have the ability to fight. Once you're in the air, you're also immune to attacks. Your enemies notice you, but they don't charge. An unintended side effect of the engine is the way it handles elevation, but is very much in line with the intent of this mod.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
