This mod adds quest markers to over 100 different NPCs in the game.

(All Vanilla fans, trainers, spouses and children)

When you pick up the flute, you will receive 12 new tasks in the "Miscellaneous" tab of the menu. There is also an item in the backpack called "Scroll of Finding" which will add a marker to any NPC when placed in the inventory. At the beginning of the mission, you have access to 30 of these reels.

If you want to turn off any of these categories, it's currently completely permanent unless you reset the mod. To do this, use the command 'COC A027FFShrines' to access the OFF switch.

*Get the best results::

Install it at the start of the game.

This way, the category remains at the bottom of the Miscellaneous Quest list.

It is not recommended to switch to all categories all the time!

**If you choose to open all categories in this mode...

Warning it may not work properly and may significantly reduce FPS.

Don't rely on arrows going past NPCs or the top of the compass's head.

Problems with this mod: (Yes, this system is a bit broken)

-Markers only appear on your map, not on their overhead/top compass.

  • Some markers in this mod display 3 arrows on a single NPC. [See gallery]
  • If all categories are ON, a problem may occur.

**important**

Skyrim has a 16 mission marker limit on the top compass display. You should not rely on your compass with this mod, use your map.

Again, don't expect an arrow over their head or compass display. When viewing the main map/location map, all markers will be displayed.

If you have a modded NPC or any other NPC that you want to track with Flute Finder, then when the mission starts, use the 'Scroll of Finding' which is in the backpack next to the flute. There are 30 of these scrolls.

Thanks!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
