Flamingo unofficial SSE port
Flamingos are known for their bright pink feathers, stilt-like legs, noisy vocals and S-shaped necks. When a flamingo sees a potential dinner, it plunges its head into the water and uses its upper beak to filter out the crustaceans. They live in large groups near large lakes and are not afraid of human presence.

Worried about flamingos becoming friendly? Well there is actually such a thing as an alpine flamingo.
I will not support this version with bugs or suggestions as these are beyond my capabilities and this is a simple conversion. Please bring any such questions to the original mods page as the creator is still active and should be able to assist you. I will only update this mod to keep it up to date with the original version, assuming the creator doesn't port themselves to SSE.
The images are from the original Oldrim mod, if the foliage or terrain doesn't look like what you expect from SSE, this is why.
Please support the original creator at the link below, all I did was port this mod to SSE. This mod has been ported with the permissions stated in the original mods description.
Q: How can I immediately test if this works for me? The original mod only lists the location as "near a large lake".
A: If you want to immediately test if the mod works for you instead you can head to Ilinalta's Deep, there is a herd of sheep along the edge of the lake. Follow the river from Riverwood in the direction of Whiterun and you'll find plenty at the far end of the lake.
Q: So you really won't change the original mod in any way?
Answer: Other than optimizing the SSE model, no.
Q: What would happen if a creator transplanted themselves into themselves?
A: I'll mark this as redundant and link to the new SSE port in the instructions. Any future mods referencing files in this port will still be ported by the original creator.
Q: Why is this marked "VR Compatible"? What is VR related?
A: It adds new creatures to the game without any interference with VR. Anything to mark it as VR compatible would be redundant, as any non-armor or weapon related mod should automatically be VR compatible. Please tell me if I'm wrong, I don't have my own VR headset to test with.

Q: How can I immediately test that this is working for me? The original mod only lists the location as "near big lakes".
A: If you want to immediately test that the mod is working for you than you can travel to Ilinalta's Deep, there is a flock along the edge of lake. Follow the river from Riverwood the opposite direction of Whiterun, at the very far end of the lake you'll find a lot of them.
Q: So you really won't be altering this mod in any way from the original?
A: Aside from optimizing the models for SSE, no.
Q: What will happen to this mod if the creator ports it over themselves?
A: I will mark it as redundant and link to the new SSE port in the description. Any future mods referencing files in this port would still function with a port by the original creator.
Q: Why is this marked "VR compatible"? What is VR related about this?
A: It adds new creatures to the game, nothing about that interferes with VR. If anything marking it VR compatible is redundant …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
