16 additional BodySlide sliders give hands a complete makeover! Compatible with any texture!

Hand redo is a cosmetic overhaul of the hands, trying to recreate them to more realistic proportions. If you've ever looked at your character's hands and thought they were a little too thick, then this one is for you. These new hands adapt normal UV maps so that all your texture mods will remain compatible and seamless.

This mod also provides 16 new sliders for BodySlide, allowing you to adjust and customize your hand to suit your heart. Is it overkill? Absolutely! Does it look cool? You bet!

This mod is the culmination of something that's been delayed for 3-4 years, so I hope you find some good uses for them. If you have screenshots, feel free to upload them, but do not make them public.

Requirements and compatibility

You are required to choose a body shape.

Currently supported mods are: Vanilla, CBBE, 3BA, BHUNP. TBD is making progress.

This mod should be loaded after its body mod. Armor and clothing models that add exposed gloves or bracers will not see the change unless a body slide conversion is performed on those models.

Basically, all the rules that apply to your clothes and armor apply here as well. Let it override other modules if it needs to. Costumes with gloves may require modification.

This module can be installed or uninstalled at any time without problems.

Select a download option based on the body you plan to use this model with. The normal option has no BodySlide content.

Install the mod using the mod manager of your choice or install it manually.

Open the human body slide and batch build the new model as usual. You can take this opportunity to adjust the slider if you wish. I won't include a tutorial on how to do this with BodySlide as that's off topic, but there are plenty of tutorials here if you need it.

Done.

To uninstall this mod, please disable it in the mod manager or delete all related files.

User information

I tried my best to solve as many problems as possible, but I'm not the best 3D modeler in the world. That's the way it is, folks.

This mod is a compromise between realism and the limitations of the player's skeleton and equipment. Because of this, you'll still see chunky wrists that don't bend in a good way, and the fingers have weird axes and asymmetrical posture. wait. ;All issues related to how the model stays on the underlying skeleton. Some sliders are included that will highlight these areas. More information about the slider is detailed above.

Depending on the texture you choose, the nails may warp, especially in the corners of each nail. I've included some BodySlide sliders to help alleviate these issues if you find yourself struggling with them. Information on the slider can be found above.

Depending on the texture you use, there may be seams along your fingertips, between your fingers, and between your thumb and index finger. These would show up on any other hand model, but may be more noticeable on this one.

You should not experience wrist seams at any point. From my own experience, I've been able to eliminate all wrist seams, which can be seen in most image previews. If you do encounter wrist seams, leave a comment detailing the body model and textures you used and attach a picture within a spoiler. I can't promise a solution for everyone since there are so many variables regarding wrist seams, but I'll do my best to help.
