This mode adds a partially independent female Redguard follower: Farah Ibn Shaihalud. Her face was custom sculpted using NifSkope. Farah does not have a custom body mesh or texture: she will use whatever default settings you have installed. This means she will look slightly different than the screenshot, which also means whether you use UNP, CBBE or anything else, she will fit into those clothes/armor and blend in with the other minions.

Backstory:

As a loyal soldier of the Empire, Farah served with distinction in the great war against the Aldemeri Dominion. When Hammerfell officially broke away from the Empire, Farah was one of the many "disabled" people "left behind" by the Legion. Farah now continues her fight against the Thalmor under the banner of an independent Hammerfell.

Towards the end of the war, Farah's column was ambushed and she was captured. Knowing that her own time was coming, she was forced to watch as her troops were tortured and executed. But the war was over and she was returned, scarred both internally and externally.

As civil war brews in Skyrim Farah leaves her homeworld to side with the Empire, believing it is the best way to fight the looming threat of the Dominion. Only after arriving in Skyrim did she learn that a particular Thalmor agent had been transferred to Skyrim, one she had a debt to repay with the sword.

Shout: Disarm (since she is a professional soldier and can disarm weaker opponents)

Install:

Use your preferred mod manager or drag and drop the contents of the zip file into the data folder. Place Farah in the same position as other minions in your loadout order, above any minion management modes.

Q: Why doesn't she have custom mesh/skin?

A: Because I want everyone to be able to use her, not just those who like body shape and skin texture.

Q: Why is the right side of her face distorted?

A: I traced along the scar pattern to give it some depth and make it stand out more and be more realistic.

Q: Is "Shaihalud" a reference to sand dunes?

Answer: Yes.

Q: Did you know that "Shaihalud" is spelled incorrectly?

A: Yes, but I don't care. Also, to avoid any potential copyright issues, I'm keeping it this way.

Q: You know that "Ibn" means "son," right?

A. Yes, but I prefer the sound of "Ibn" and I use it in a more modern way, like the English surname Johnson or Wilson.
