Replacement for the Sleeping Tree with adjusted colors, unique model, and animated lighting effects.

Note: The original address also needs 2 colors

The Sleeping Tree gets surprisingly little love and should be corrected. I decided to fix it up a bit in my game, using unique models and tweaking the colors, I thought other people might like it too.

Big thanks to yag1z for providing their amazing mod Ancient Trees of Skyrim and allowing me to use its assets. I highly recommend everyone check out the mod and yag1z for their great work. Also thanks to this awesome mod that fixed the collision in the Sleeping Tree version.

So far I've made a tree without leaves and a tree with leaves. As opposed to vanilla blue, the color changes to a more purple/pink hue, mostly to be more in keeping with the magical drink.

I'm willing to do other colors if needed.

Additionally, the branches will glow and twinkle as if magic is passing through them. I honestly don't know how I did this, but let's consider it a happy accident :D It looks great in my opinion. You can check it out in the video.

Feel free to share your own screenshots :) (sfw only so I don't have to change the tags ;) )

original path patch

This patch was made with Happy Little Trees Keep in mind - this mod changes the default sleep tree model to the common arrival tree model, but I made this patch to revert the change. Happy Little Trees is not required for this patch, it will work with any other mod that changes the model, if any. So if you're not sure and you're seeing something other than my sleeper tree version, please add this patch. in version 1.2 and higher

The new patch includes reverting any woldspace position changes to work with Skyrim 3D trees and plants correctly and ensuring everything is aligned correctly. Anyone who doesn't want to change world space can still download version 1.1 of the patch, but it just reverts to vanilla, so it shouldn't conflict with anything at all:

Just install using your mod manager. This is a FOMOD. If you are installing manually, the folder structure should be very simple. anytime, anywhere

Uninstall Anyplace.

It's just a replacement. Frequently Asked Questions Why do branches light up? I'd love to say this was intentional, but it was just an accident. I do like the results. If it really bothers someone, I'd look into an optional fix. Why does my tree look completely different? You may have a model change model. Use the patch I provided. Can you change it to a different color? Yes. You can request a different color and I will take care of it at some point. Thank you very much yag1z

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
