This mod replaces Skyrim's hotkey system with custom ones, allowing you to use any number of hotkeys. Just like in vanilla, hotkeys are created directly from the Favorites menu. No scripting involved. No need to dig through MCM menus just by creating new hotkeys. Fast and easy to use.
To use this mod, SkyUI and SKSE64 are required!
feature:
- Just as fast as vanilla hotkeys
- Assign hotkeys directly from the Favorites menu
- Allows you to use any keyboard and mouse buttons as hotkeys
-Vampire Lord support
-Dual support (currently unavailable)
- Allows you to create a custom whitelist of buttons that can be used as hotkeys (disabled by default)
usage:
Same as vanilla, but with one extra step: the Left control must be held down when assigning the hotkey. This is necessary because the Favorites menu cannot distinguish when you want to assign a hotkey and when you don't. So, for example, if you want to set the F1 button as a hotkey, press Ctrl+F1 when assigned.
You can also create a whitelist if you don't mind doing any configuration. Whitelisted buttons don't require Ctrl to be pressed, it's 100% like the vanilla system. See the accompanying .ini file for details.
Warning: The mod does not check for conflicts with existing controls. It lets you map literally anything, so it's your responsibility to make sure it doesn't conflict with other controls.
compatibility:
Not compatible with any mods that make any changes to the favorites menu. Therefore, if a mod contains a file called "favoritesmenu.swf", that file is incompatible unless a compatibility patch is available. Other than that, it should be compatible with almost everything, even some other hotkey mods.
But what about the controller?
Starting with version 1.1, it is now possible to create more hotkeys using the keyboard, even when using a controller. Hotkeys on the controller will continue to function as they did in vanilla.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
