About this mod Machine translation

Added ESO and ESO-related books to the Arcanaeum chest at the College of Winterhold.

There are tons of books in "The Elder Scrolls" that you won't find in any other "Elder Scrolls" game. This mod aims to add all books from The Elder Scrolls Online to Skyrim.

In the Arcanaeum, which is said to have housed a collection from the Second Age, you'll find several pallets of books from Elder Scrolls Online.

The first version only contained 132 pieces of game material used to help promote the game. You will find the following books in this mod.

  • The Loremaster's Archive, a 44-volume series from the main site that explores different aspects of the lore and includes user issues in character. I removed references to this game for better immersion.

*Notable Tamriel Characters, a 40-volume series exploring characters from the world. This is renamed from the official website's "Meet the Character" series to fit in better.

  • Explore Tamriel, a 22-volume series detailing notes found in certain parts of the world. These notes are not found in the game, but can be found on the interactive map used to promote ESO on the official website. This map is no longer available.

*Character Interviews, a series of 7 character interviews conducted by Tamriel Foundry, Imperial Library, Op-cast and more

*Other promotional books, 19 books on the official website, event RP, Twitter RP or other promotional materials.

Due to copywrite issues I will not be adding the following to this mod.

*The Emperor's Guide to Tamriel

*Hero's Guide to Tamriel

  • Naryu's diary
  • Alinor Codex

What's coming:

Next I will add more and more incremental versions of ESO books. There are over 5,000 books to create, so this will take some time.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
