Visit the perk tree at a campfire to see the description and requirements. Sleep in a warm tent for 7+ hours, fight without armor (shield is good), or fight unarmed and earn perks. A warm tent requires a fire nearby. Look for "housing warming" notifications before bed. In a cave or an old fort, you can do a "bed roll-in" near a fire using beds only (no tents).
Housing warming
Place a tent or bed roll near a medium-sized ("flicker") or larger fire
When entering the tent or lying in bed scroll to wait for the "Housing Warming" or "Bed Warming" notification
Includes default base game tent for warming, but does not count as owned for additional bonuses
(Optional) Survival Mode: Wait for the sun icon and warm up as needed
Remove armor before going to bed (see Campfire's automatic gear removal option)
Sleep 7-12 hours without interruption
In Survival Mode, the size of the flames determines how far away your tent can be placed, which can be quite far for the largest fires. In Frostfall, the distance is determined by Frostfall, which is the same distance for all fires.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
