About this mod Machine translation

Customize camera positioning in and out of combat based on your stance and weapon selection for a more unique and immersive experience. Support for Werewolf and Vampire Lord, as well as shoulder swapping and live camera editor.

I have decided to release this mode for SkyRIM SE after reports from other users that they have used it successfully without any issues. This is the same version released in vanilla Skyrim that I have used for over 1200 hours on a 300+ patterned version of Skyrim without any contours. So I hope you do the same.

So please enjoy this mode and I hope it makes Skyrim that useful to you.

Introduction

This is a mode that will allow you to define the horizontal, vertical and zoom of the camera while in combat and away. It will also change your camera during combat depending on your weapon settings, stance and race to allow for a unique third-party experience. I hope you like this mod! :)

Enhanced third-person camera

Since the mod has now gone through a major overhaul with the 1.0 update, you can change camera settings via the MCM menu or using the editor.

Note that this pattern is complex for a number of reasons. It gives the user complete control over the camera in almost every situation.

camera settings

The camera settings are as follows:

stand

sneaking

Convert

Standing and sneaking use the same weapon combination:

sword shield

Dual waving

both hands

Unarmed

Spells and Sticks

fight sword

bow

crossbow

The transformed people will only have ordinary and combat cameras.

To know which weapon combination belongs to which section, please refer to the grid below:

SS=sword and shield, DW=double wielding, HH=2 handed, UN=unarmed, SAS=spell and staff, SPS=spell sword, BW=bow, CW=crossbow.

1<Weapon> represents one hand, 2<Weapon> represents two hands, and the gray part represents the left or right hand.

Alternatively, you can enable combat style notifications in the Options menu, which will tell you what items are currently equipped.

Swap shoulders

It's simple, you press a rebindable button in the options menu and switch the view to the other shoulder.

Live editing

This mode is more complex, when entered it will disable movement, so do not use it during combat, only use it in a safe place, it is easy to exit the mode, just press the button bound in the options menu.

Once you enter the mode, you will be notified and the controls are as follows:

You still have access to your inventory, so you can change weapons, and you can also activate the shoulder buttons to see what the view will look like. Vampire King and Werewolf also support this mode.

Just quit and keep playing.

Additional information

Each option has a corresponding XZY value (regular cameras only have XZ, since vanity cameras control zoom, which is usually changed by holding down the F key).

The values are named as follows, as shown in the image below:

X axis, controls the left and right movement of the camera.

Z axis, controls the up and down movement of the camera.

The y-axis controls the forward and backward movement of the camera.

In MCM I allow up to 100 per road, incremented by 0.5. If there's demand, I can add a patch in an update to define your own values, but for now I feel like these are enough without getting in the way.

required

Requires the latest SkyRIM patch, the latest SKSE and SkyUI.

If you don't have these requirements, please do not install this module, or do this, but I won't support it.

Preparation before installation

Previously, I had you go into your Skyrim.ini file and mess around with the camera's values, well, now you don't have to. It saves you from messing around with that important file.

If you updated from 0.9, I'm sorry your values won't be passed. It's just that I had to change a lot of code with the code I edited and modified.

Miscellaneous

Install

Use NexusModManager to simply download and let it do its job, or just dump it into the Skyrim folder since I have it set up correctly in the file hierarchy.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
