Enemy Bats unofficial SSE port
This mod adds a slightly larger bat (TES 2: Giant Bat) to the world of Skyrim as a common enemy in most caves, as well as fortresses and Norse ruins. They are more aggressive and larger than regular vanilla non-aggressive bats, but share characteristics with them. Longer versions can also be encountered.

Unfortunately, the bat's hitbox is on the ground beneath the model. It's still fairly easy to kill them, especially with two-handed weapons (most have more radius than one-handed I believe), and the AI followers still target them correctly, but it's definitely worth noting. Thanks to tallunmapar for spotting this issue.
I will not support this version with bugs or suggestions as these are beyond my capabilities and this is a simple conversion. Please bring any such questions to the original mods page as the creator is still active and should be able to assist you. I will only update this mod to keep it up to date with the original version, assuming the creator doesn't port themselves to SSE.
The images are from the original Oldrim mod, if the foliage or terrain doesn't look like what you expect from SSE, this is why.
Please support the original creator at the link below, all I did was port this mod to SSE. This mod has been ported with the permissions stated in the original mods description.
Q: How can I immediately test if this works for me? The original mod only lists the location as "Cave".
A: While I've encountered them in Bleak Falls Barrow, I can't find any that are super quick to find.
Q: So you really won't change the original mod in any way?
Answer: Other than optimizing the SSE model, no.
Q: What would happen if a creator transplanted themselves into themselves?
A: I'll mark this as redundant and link to the new SSE port in the instructions. Any future mods referencing files in this port will still be ported by the original creator.
Q: Why is this marked "VR Compatible"? What is VR related?
A: It adds new creatures to the game without any interference with VR. Anything marked VR compatible would be redundant as any mod that isn't armor or weapon related should automatically be VR
compatible. Please tell me if I'm wrong, I don't have my own VR headset to test with.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
