Darkest Dungeon once again inspired me to make a mod for Skyrim, this time based on the "Stygian/Bloodmoon" difficulty, which gives you a certain number of weeks in the game to beat before it's game over. This mod essentially mimics this functionality. Alduin is the world-eater, and the only person who can stop him is the Dragonborn. If DB hangs out all day doing Skooma and crafting iron daggers, you can bet that this dragon won't just be patiently waiting for you to learn how to defeat him!
Overview
This mod adds a customizable timer to your game that counts down days and indicates when Alduin will begin his attack on the entire universe. Once the mod is installed, a timer starts (or, in the case of a fresh save, immediately when you start the game), and if you don't defeat Alduin before the end of the world, you'll be treated to hellfire. The giant Alduin raised his head high into the sky, then died. You then have to reload the older save and try to save faster or start a new game entirely. That's it :P
MCM support (SKSE only)
This module includes an MCM (Module Configuration Menu) that can be used to customize the functionality of this module. Here you can configure how many days you want the time limit to be set to. You can also "lock" your time limit settings here so you don't try to move the goalposts if you get close to your expiration date.
Require
Only Skyrim provides basic functionality, but SKSE (Skyrim Script Extension) is highly recommended as without it you won't be able to customize the mod easily. Also, the only way to view the countdown timer without SKSE is the Doomsday Clock spell.
Resaving is recommended, but not required; if the mod detects that the main mission has been completed, it will disable itself.
If you already have a save game in progress with the main mission yet to be completed, this mod will still work! However, it will count the number of days from the character's start, not the time from when this mod is installed, so you may need to adjust the MCM expiration date immediately after loading to avoid triggering the apocalypse immediately (the timer is set to 365 by default, so any character older than a year will need to be actively processed).
compatibility
This mod should be fully compatible and work as expected with everything, even mods like Alternate Start. The only mods that might not work well are those that manipulate the normal "GameDaysPassed" GlobalVariable, but I don't really know the effect of that.

INTRODUCTION
Darkest Dungeon has once again inspired me to make a mod for Skyrim, this time based off the "Stygian/Bloodmoon" difficulty which gives you a set number of in-game weeks to beat the game by, otherwise it's game over. This mod essentially mimics that feature. Alduin is the world eater, and the only person who can stop him is the Dragonborn. If DB is just lounging around all day doing Skooma and crafting iron daggers, you can bet this giant dragon isn't just going to wait patiently for you to learn how to defeat him!
OVERVIEW
This mod adds a customizable timer to your game that counts days, and indicates when Alduin will stage his attack against literally the entire universe. The timer starts as soon as the mod is installed (or as soon as you start the game if it's a fresh save), and if you don't defeat Alduin before you reach doomsday, you'll be treated to hellfire raining down from the sky caused by a mega-Alduin soaring overhead, followed by death. Then you'll have to reload an earlier save and try to do it faster or start a new game entirely. That's it really:P

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
