This is an updated version of hishutup's original mod. The original doesn't always pull out the correct EZ levels when they come from other mods, like my OMEGA MLU AIO mod. However, thanks to the hard work of mickthompson4000, we now have an updated version of the original patch that will extract the correct EZ. In addition to this, the patcher now uses brackets for better aesthetics.
So what does this mean for end users?
This will be very useful if you use any mods that change Encounter Zones, or have mods that add new zones like Bruma. For those of you who don't use this type of content, this may be of limited or little use to you.
Please take a look at the image above to see what this mod will look like in-game. This only affects the text before it is loaded into the zone. It won't affect any other content, such as text on the map.

Download and install the latest version of zEdit.
Install the folder called "hishy-cell-encounter-level-in-name" downloaded here and after installation place it in the "modules" folder inside the zEdit folder. Example file path after installing this patch: (zEdit_Alpha_v0.4.3_-_Portable_x64\modules\hishy-cell-encounter-level-in-name)
Run zEdit and once fully loaded right click on the left pane and select "Manage Patchers".
You can select Build/Build All here or change the settings by clicking on this Patcher on the left side of the popup.
It's not recommended to change the settings unless you know what you're doing, but you can ignore certain mods with this process here, or change how levels appear in zone names.
If using something like Bashed/Smashed this should be run after completion.
If you are not sure how to install zEdit, please follow the video below.

troubleshooting
Some users have experienced that their Patcher settings were not saved to the changes they were currently making. This usually only happens if zEdit is installed, especially if you have used other versions of this patch. If you encounter this issue, please search for "patcherSettings.json" under (zEdit_Alpha_v0.4.3_-_ Portable_x64\profiles\Skyrim SE) and delete it. The next time you use zEdit it will regenerate and resolve this issue.
Mashed patches and other cellular patches
If running Smashed, the easiest solution to Cell input issues (such as lighting mode) is to start using the Force All option. This mainly applies to users who are already using Force All for activities such as MLU or Requiem.
For example, in OMEGA you have to set MLU.esp (OMEGA MLU) and PrvtI_HeavyArmory.esp (OMEGA Heavy Armory) to Force All instead of Smash All. If you are using ELE then you can also set ELE to force all. zPatch will then extract the correct information without issue. See the image above for an example of how to end up in xEdit.

I want to be very clear here. I know Jack all about scripts or how to create patches like this. This is entirely the work of hishutup and then updated by mickthompson4000. Additionally, as stated on the original mod page, credit also goes to matortheeternal.
I uploaded this updated version at the request of mickthompson4000. He worked on making it work, adding OMEGA to Lexy's LOTD. Largely fixed an …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
