• Its function:

The player gains the ability to greatly improve Magicka Regeneration. This boost ends when the player takes damage or casts a spell and goes on cooldown. Casting a spell or taking damage resets the cooldown. The regeneration boost becomes active once the player avoids being hit and casts spells. However, while the boost has no effect, Magicka regeneration is reduced. The Magicka Regeneration enchantment also adds an increase in Eldritch Battery.

Eldritch Battery allows for heavy use of magic in the early game without having to rely on staves, scrolls, and potions (which you also need in order to use them).

Wearing light or heavy armor reduces the chance of being hastened into cooldown on hit, while also reducing the boost provided by Eldritch Battery. Fully armored players do not lose boosts when attacked, but the bonus is only half effective. Improving your armor skills will eventually allow you to gain full rewards. Additionally, the helmet provides protection from hits but does not incur any boost penalties, allowing you to wear the Cleric Mask.

Blocking attacks also prevents haste from going on cooldown.

• MCM settings

The mod configuration menu allows you to adjust the cooldown, as well as the game settings "Combat Magicka Regen multiplier". During combat, your total mana regeneration is multiplied by this value. You can adjust this setting if you feel the boost is too high or too low. You can also choose to disable the mod temporarily or uninstall it completely.

Eldritch Batteries are designed to be compatible with all devices and do not require any DLC.

It does require the latest Skyrim update and optional SkyUI and SKSE to access the configuration menu.

• Analysis after installing the mod:

Eldritch Battery is most noticeable in the early stages of the game, when potions, scrolls, and staves are scarce. The warrior can still swing his sword even if he has no stamina, while the archer's arrows weigh zero and are much cheaper than mana potions. The mage has a very limited mana pool that cannot be used up by anything but waiting. This is where EB shines; it drastically reduces waiting and gets you back in action faster. Some famous fights are Bleakfalls Barrow and the last boss of the first dragon. On harder difficulties, these monsters are punishable by death if they hit you, and won't fail after your initial burst of magic. As usual, when a fragile mage runs out of magic, running and hiding are the only options until your magic regeneration is enough for you to cast a spell. Rinse and repeat. The same goes for EB with EB installed; if you run out of magicka, you have to run around. However, EB's magic boost reduces the time you have to wait before casting a spell again. As you get into the later stages of the game and gain access to stronger spells and higher regeneration gear, EB's effectiveness wears off and becomes a tool for quickly restoring mana between battles.
