Never thought why such a powerful ancient relic is so useless in practice? I mean it's a game series called "Elders Scrolls" but none of the games in the series give you a chance to actually use those mysterious artifacts. Even though Serana wore one, but for some reason you can't. But not this mod!

Give your Elder Scrolls a practical use. Wear them! Enjoy their new cool looks and helpful magic bonuses.

Wear one for yourself and give the other two to your followers! Bored with them? Sell these!

Changes to vanilla scrolls (book items):

1.The weight is set to 5 instead of 20.

  • No longer "quest items" so they actually have weight.
  • The price of each reel is set to 6000.
  • Textures were enhanced and 3 different gem colors were made for each of the 3 reels.
  • After you use your scrolls to make wearable versions, they will no longer be quest items even if this mod will be uninstalled. It's a side effect, but I don't think there's any harm.

Q: How to use this?

A: Go to a tanning rack and put a strip on your reel. All you need is a leash and an Elder Scroll or course. If you are using Frostfall, then you can do it anywhere you like with the help of a portable tanning rack.

Q: Great! I made a wearable scroll with my Elder Scroll and now I can't follow the task. Thanks so much, man!

Answer: I’m not talking about a problem! Go to the tanning rack and cut off the strap. Get your quest items. After completing the mission, you can use the attack belt if you wish.

Q: After I die and reload my last save game, my reels are suspended in the air or just don't appear to me. what do I do?

A: Simply re-equip or reload your save game (exit main menu 1). This is a glitch in the game. There's not much I can do until I recreate the rolling model.

Q: I cannot put a strap on my reel. It complains about the luck of the component. what do I do?

A: Report to me with the name of the scroll (Dragon, Blood or Sun). Please note that if you donate scrolls to Urag gro-Shub during gameplay.

Q: This is a cool mod! I like!

A: Then agree with it! ;)

Question: This is BS! Won't use this!

A: Then... don't use it anymore.

Update notification:

If you are updating from a previous version, proceed to the next step:

  • Separate the tape from the reel

2.Save

3.Update mod

  • Reattach the strap roll

Failure to do so may result in lost scrolling!

Requires: Dawnguard DLC. If not, use the "No DG" version!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
