Added Whiterun door windows for Noble users. Use SMIM Grid for any repairs.

As a Noble Skyrim user, I've always been annoyed by the textures of the Whiterun gantry because there's no glass in the windows. After adding it to the texture I quickly realized why it wasn't finished because it looked silly when the emmitance was added to the door and the esp requirement was added. I tried doing a few things on my interior fixtures but it looked good and quickly ruined it when you opened the door. With more knowledge of nifscope I managed to solve this problem.

Using SMIM's wrdragoondoor01.nif I added a window to each door so you never see an empty box again.

For all buildings using interior and exterior doors, esp is required to add light for time changes in all buildings. Unfortunately it has to be done this way, but if you want to free up the slot you can merge this esp with anything. Users of my internal mod need to download a blank door net in the options to hide the temporary window and view the new one. I will remove them in the next round of updates.

I made this as part of my Whiterun overhaul, but thought it would be handy for other Noble users who don't use my mod.

As a Noble Skyrim user the texture for the Whiterun dragon door has always annoyed me by not having the glass in the window. After adding it to the texture myself I soon realised why it wasn't done as it looks daft when emmitance is added to the door and adds an esp requirement. I attempted to do something about it in my interior mods but whilst it looked ok it was soon ruined when you open the door. Armed with a little more knowledge in nifscope I managed to work it out.

Using the wrdragoondoor01.nif from SMIM I've added a window to each door so that you no longer look into an empty box.

The esp is required to add light emmitance for time of day changes for all buildings that uses the door for interiors and exteriors. Unfortunately it has to be done this way but you can merge this esp with anything if you want to free up the slot. Users of my interior mods will need to download the blank door mesh in the optionals to hide the makeshift window and see the new. I will do away with them on the next round of updates.

I made it as part of my Whiterun overhaul but thought it would be handy for any other Noble users out there that don't use my mods.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
