compatibility
Ebongrove is a vivid, detailed version of my old Redoran Grove.
They are compatible, but they are not the same mod. I wanted to recreate it with what I know now.
To maintain a dark/golden atmosphere (and avoid looking messy on your end) know that other mods won't affect trees or basalt rock formations. However, shrubs and furniture may still be affected.
Compatible with Open Cities. You will be teleported outside the city, so NPCs can't see you anywhere.
Compatible with AHO projects.
Already cleaned with xEdit. Requires all DLC.
It is recommended to load it after editing the horizontal mod.
There is no adoption support, but any author is welcome to make patches. I will add it to the page.
Fish, butterflies, jazbay and juniper will not respawn, so be careful if you want them.

Redoran Grove is based in Solstheim, which looks dull compared to Ebongrove. I think its inanimate appearance complements Solstheim's scenery, but the difference lies in more than just aesthetic upgrades. In Ebongrove I fixed the cell data, added new projects and scripts, and overall made sure it was bright, comfortable, and technically solid. enjoy your meal!

Story - Revisited
(...for a liar like me)
Several years ago, several Dunmer refugees remembered the fate of Raven Rock. In fact, after the death of its Ebony Mine, the Eastern Empire Company abandoned the settlement and its people. Although Ravys failed to regain contact with the trader, his wife Vatya crafted a spell that would teleport supplies to Raven Rock. However, something prevents her from working the magic in Solsheim, and she begins to investigate. Once on the island, Vatya conducted experiments and several ash urns appeared in the cave, but she was unable to return them. As Ienth, Ravys knows how to make use of the ashes in the urn. He planted plants and trees around the cave, a process made easier by the warmth of the dwarven sun, so he tolerated his wife's absence.
Months pass and Ravys discovers the benefit of a power that can take him anywhere, anytime...but instead of using magic for his own benefit, he takes care of the cave to make it habitable and beautiful for his wife's return. He eventually receives a suspicious letter from her that mentions using the dark powers from the dangerous book. He immediately left to see her, leaving Ebongrove unattended. (I know Skyrim came out years ago, but I'll let you guess what happened to avoid spoilers for the Dragonborn DLC.)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
