About this mod Machine translation
This addon takes Nostromo79's earrings and consolidates them into a leveled list, places them manually into NPC outfits, keeps both earrings worn regardless of your helmet, sets both earrings to be correctly visible or invisible depending on the helmet or helm, and is compatible with wearable lanterns and bandoliers - pouches and pouches.
This is something I’ve been doing for myself little by little over the past year. Since it's become quite widespread, and the original mod has open permissions, I decided to share it. Enjoy a sky full of earrings!
Earrings have been placed on level lists so they should appear as loot and appear in shops that sell jewelry. At Whiterun, Fralia's inventory increases, making her more likely to sell a variety of earrings. She will always sell matching sets.
Dozens of specific and universal NPC outfits have been edited to include earrings. Some costumes always use a matching set (usually the townspeople), and some costumes randomly get left and right earrings (e.g., the bandit). Some characters wear earrings forever, for others it's a matter of chance. Some characters will never wear earrings.
Earrings have been given new names and other inventory items are better. For example, Pierced Ears 01 Rings Left has been renamed Earring, Steel Helix (left)
Christian cross earrings are not yet integrated but are still available for crafting. They are named "Icon" earrings.
Many helmets, caps and hats have been edited so that the right earring is no longer removed when equipped. It should be possible to wear any headgear and keep the earrings.
Likewise, more helmets, hats and caps have been edited so that both earrings are correctly visible or correctly invisible when worn. This solves the problem of the earcups passing through the hat, or not being visible when wearing a helmet with exposed earcups, such as an iron helmet, or the left earcup being visible but not the right.
The left ear has been changed from slot 55 to slot 60 to avoid conflict with the Wearable Lantern and Bandolier - Bags and Pouches. Equipping a lantern will no longer remove your earrings!
Forward survival markers from Update.esm and fixes from USSEP.
xXTainXx's mod for Nostromo79, a port of Pierced Ears - Earrings SE is required as this mod only contains a plugin and not any earring assets. Once installed, the plugin NosPiercedEarsAll.esp should be disabled, removed, or set to hidden if you are on Mod Organizer 2. Once that's done, download and install this mod and you're done!
If you already have Pierced Ears - Earrings SE, the earrings you already own will disappear. If you want them, you can use this guide.
This mod is already fully compatible with Bandolier and Wearable Lanterns.
Since changes to the helmet allow earrings to be worn correctly, patches for the following mods are included: WACCF, Armor and Clothing Extensions (ACE), Zim's Immersive Artifact (ZIA), and Improved Close Helmet (ICH).
IMPORTANT: The included WACCF-ICH merge patch is for the WACCF version of ICH. It does not apply to the standard version of ICH. The installer won't know the difference.
The Armor and Clothing Extension's new armory has been patched so that earring-wearing NPCs without it still wear earrings.
Due to changes to level lists, patches for the following mods are included: Economy Overhaul and Speechcraft Improvements and Scarcity.
Here are some guidelines for patch load order.
If multiple WACCF patches are installed, load the WACCF-ZIA patch last.
Load the ACE patch after all WACCF patches.
Q: By moving slot to 60, won't it conflict with other modules?
Yes, completely! Any change was a risk, but my goal was to get the earrings to work with Bandolier and Lanterns, so I made the call.
Q: Why replace NosPiercedEarsAll.esp entirely instead of patching it?
Original plugins are standard ESP files. This is an ESP-FE. By replacing the plugin it will free up a loading order slot for you.
Q: Will you make patches for XYZ?
Maybe! However, I would rat …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
