About this mod Machine translation

The Piercing Earrings mesh editor does not clip when wearing COTR races, especially with the ears' zero slider, and certain ear types will be listed with their respective races.

describe:

I've edited the original ear piercing mesh to avoid clipping with the COTR ear mesh. I originally just made this for my human PC because I always loved the original mod and missed using it on my male PC, but decided to expand on it and share it with others. Considering COTR has so many ear types, when I build a computer from scratch I stick with the default ear type (and the one closest to vanilla ears, so the big ears don't have the mesh), specifically:

Orc: Elf Type: 2, but also fits Elf Type: 1, 2, 6. If you prefer human orc COTR ears, they also work with human meshes.

Elf:ElfEarType: 0, but also fits ElfEarType: 2, 6, 20

Human: ElfEarType: 0, but for slightly pointier ears, ElfEarType: 6 also looks good. Type 2 also works but clips in with earrings 4 and 5

The ears have to be on the zeroed slider to look right, sorry, that's too many meshes to edit for all ear heights and types!

I also didn't add crafting because I personally never use mechanics and didn't want to argue with CK people about making recipes for them. Better to either use an add-on module (my personal favorite is the Skyrim Cheat Engine) or console commands that anyone can patch for as they please!

In the game they will be classified as

O=Orc

E=elf

H=human

For example:

Ear Piercing Gold 03 Ring 2 Right OCOTR

Ear Piercing Gold 03 Ring 2 Right ECOTR

Ear Piercing Gold 03 Ring 2 Right HCOTR

I also added COTR to the names of those who have the OG mod installed to avoid confusion when looking at additem mods. This version is standalone because it's designed for COTR races, which means if you want regular races to have earrings as well, you'll still need the OG mod.

Slot:

left=60

Right=43

According to Nostomo79’s OG permission,

Do not upload my mods to other websites or Steam Workshop.

You can use my files in your mods (followers/shops, etc.), just provide appropriate credit and a link to the original mod.

You can re-download translated versions of my mods, just provide appropriate credit and a link to the original mod.

For the COTR version, there is no need to ask my permission (even if you choose to donate points), as these are modder resources intended as NPC replacements, but trust me! Also, be sure to ask xxtainx/Mossa and Nostromo79 for permission when choosing to donate points!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
