About this mod Machine translation

Modify the game respawn time of cleared dungeons to a more appropriate value!

All props will be given to the lord of that order, which is purely a modification of him, completely upside down of course!

Ever wondered about the ancient intrigues and even how Falmer's Mill could repopulate an entire network of underground caves in the space of 30 days? Me too! That's why I set up this incredibly simple and easy-to-use mod to fix problems like this, it's a great preset.

Skyrim handles cell resets using two values iHoursToCellRepsawn and iHoursToCellRepsawnCleared. The former handles every cell under Magnus that is not marked as cleared. This means everything from houses to exterior skylines to dungeons that are only partially cleared but not fully cleared! This means that the dungeon's boss or every creature in it must be completely cleared so that it is not controlled by this setting. The latter is self-explanatory and handles all dungeons marked as cleared.

This mod is a minimal little plugin for setting these values to more appropriate values. We are actually talking about a file header, and 2 data value fields that override the main Skyrim.esm. Instead of the standard 30 day and 2 day non-clear dungeons, I have 5 preset addons in FOMOD for you to choose from. It's that simple.

Default:

20 years to clear the dungeon, the remaining 6 months

5 years to clear the dungeon, 4 months for the rest

2 years for clearing dungeons, 3 months for all others

1 year to clear the dungeon, 2 months for the rest

6 months for clearing dungeons, 1 month for everything else

2 months to clear dungeons, 2 weeks for everything else - User Requested!

Since this plugin is so simple, there is absolutely zero conflict with anything else. This means any issues are very likely and not this mod's fault!

Final disclaimer, while this mod certainly won't conflict with anything, it will add bloat to your saves since cells don't reset as often. (As pointed out by a user) This is a major problem in the LE era and a lot of people, myself included, have lost some of their redeeming qualities due to bloat and no proper maintenance. Things have become more stable since SE was released. I don't think bloat is a big issue in this case, but I haven't tested it with all dungeons cleared. That being said, if any of you brave enough to take the plunge and try this mod out (with proper backup of course) and let me know the results, I'll be happy to change it.

If anyone wants to reset the time please ask, I wouldn't mind uploading it!

Other great mods that may improve performance:

SSE engine fix (skse64 plugin)

Dead NPC body cleanser

All props go to lordsoultrike for this mod, this is purely a modification of his, completely inverted of course!

Ever wondered how ancient machinations, or even the run of the mill falmer could repopulate entire subterranean cave networks in the span of 30 days? Me too! Thats why I made this incredibly drop dead simple mod, which is a glorified settings preset, to fix such an issue.

Skyrim handles cell resets with two values, iHoursToCellRepsawn and iHoursToCellRepsawnCleared. The former handles every cell under Magnus that isn't marked Cleared. This means everything from houses, to exterior skyrim, to dungeons who were only partially cleared, but not fully! That means the boss of the dungeon, or every creature therein, has to be fully cleared to not be controlled by this setting. The latter is self explanatory, it handles all dungeons marked Cleared.

All this mod is is an EXTREMELY small plugin to set these values to something more appropriate. We are talking literally a file header, and 2 data value fields to overwrite the main Skyrim.esm. Instead of the standard 30 days, and 2 day non-cleared dungeon, I have 5 preset plugins in a FOMOD for you to choose. It's as simple as that.

Presets:

20 years for cleared dungeons, 6 months for all else

5 years for cleared dungeons, 4 months for all else …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
