Dungeon Quest Awareness Redux Special Edition with Atlas Map Markers v 1.4

Version 1.4 contains map markers ported from the Skyrim Legendary Edition mods Atlas Map Markers for Skyrim Blackreach Dawnguard and Dragonborn by Kronixx.

I contacted Kronixx for permission but have not heard back from him. I posted this under his permissions tab which states:

"As long as you credit me as the original creator, you can modify my files and publish bug fixes or improvements"

All rights and intellectual property rights related to Kronixx's mod "Atlas Map Markers for Skyrim Blackreach Dawnguard and Dragonborn" belong to the original creator and not to me. The file will be at his discretion and may be deleted at any time at his request.

If you just want to go here from that module's SSE port.

This is a Skyrim Special Edition port of my mod from Skyrim 32-bit

First, I simply converted the file to (version 1.2) and used SSEEdit to add support for special edition map marker modules such as More Map Markers and Map Marker Complete with DLC and OCS.

For version 1.3, I converted the port correctly using Creation Kit. I'd like to avoid this because I don't want to load Bethesda's Launcher bloat onto my computer, but it has to be done.

What does this mod do?

Basically it adds some information to the map for Skyrim locations, much like darkwolfn1 did with the 2012 Skyrim mod Dungeon Quest Awareness, except it adds more descriptions, more locations, and includes Dawnguard and Dragonborn. I updated his mod since it was basically abandoned.

but why?

In a way, this is cheating. It gives you information for each location to inform the types of missions available and is basically a "spoiler". People who like immersive discovery probably won't download this. Personally, I like a little extra information about new locations and I know what to expect. This is especially important if you have a difficult mod and want to avoid certain places and enemies.

If you want to see instructions on the map immediately, use the ~ button to open the console and enter "tmm 1,0,0". It will show all map markers (not found) and you can hover over them.

Can you do x,y,z?

Maybe, please let me know in the comments.

compatibility

It should be fine for anything. Can be uninstalled at any time. Impossible to cause a crash.

After making any edits to world space, make sure and load the file.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
