Ever get to the end of a dungeon and feel disappointed that almost every unique, draugr-named boss has the same appearance? Never thought about it, would it make sense for an older draugr to get a bargain with a pristine new iron shield? My friend, Briraka's Draugr overhaul is what you need.
Nearly every boss named Draugr has been given a more unique appearance, both in keeping with the lore offered in the game and providing general variety in dramatic boss appearances while sticking to a mostly vanilla feel. Regular draugrs now come with rusty iron shields that better match their armor, higher level draugrs use stahlrim equipment instead of ebony, and the dented iron shield found on the bulky draugr introduced in the Dragonborn DLC now has it's own unique texture and mesh (provided by Gojirex's actual dented iron shield).
The boss list has changed
King Olaf at a Glance - New appearance and equipment to perform the legend of Olaf and the Dragon. The NPC in Sovngarde has his equipment changed to reflect his appearance.
Curalmil - New appearance and stats reflecting his status as an alchemist.
Fjori and Holgier - New statistics that enforce their equal status based on the legends found in Fjori and Holgeir. Two ghost NPCs have had their outfits changed to match their showy looks.
Guardians Torsten and Saerek - New looks give them a Sentinel-like vibe.
Gatekeeper - Changed her stats to a regular theatrical boss and gave her a stahlrim greatsword. She has the same armor as the two guardians.
Warlord Gathrik - Change the Fiery Souls steel battle ax found behind his throne into an ancient Nord weapon and give it to Gathrik to actually use. The ax behind his throne is now just a regular steel battle axe.
Red Eagle - Transforms from a regular draugr into a flaming skeleton with 100% fire resistance.
Gauls - Transform them into skeleton warriors. According to legend, they were hunted down and sealed off, so I don't think they would have been properly embalmed. Changed the model of Jyrik Gauldurson's staff to that of the Silver Dragon Priest's staff to better match the ancient aesthetic of other Gaulur weapons.
compatibility
Editing anything that records "DLC2IronShieldAA" and "DLC2StahlrimShieldAA" may cause invisible shields. Editing anything in the record "NakedSkeletonBodyAA" may cause Red Eagle's body to become invisible.
