Dragonscale Armor

by Roadhouse699·v1.0·Updated 2020-07-30

I guess you could say this is a remake of my previous "Imperial Ranger Armor". Armor has the same damage resistance as dragon scales, but is slightly more valuable and lighter. Newly merged/bound vanilla meshes, retextured - basically can be done without actually learning how to use Blender.

About this mod Machine translation

I guess you could say this is a remake of my previous "Imperial Ranger Armor". Armor has the same damage resistance as dragon scales, but is slightly more valuable and lighter. Newly merged/bound vanilla meshes, retextured - basically can be done without actually learning how to use Blender.

Whenever I play Skyrim, I usually want to wear other late-game armor, but don't want to wear vanilla or anything that's already made. You think it would be hard to install 150 mods on Vortex and occasionally comment on the mod page "this doesn't work for PLZ". I make a lot of my own stuff for every show at CK, suitestudio and GIMP.

Jokes aside, this mod includes a breastplate (rewoven, retextured), gauntlets (rewoven, retextured), boots (retextured), a hood (retextured), a shield (mesh by NordwarUA, retextured), a sword (mesh by NordWarUA, retextured), a mace (remeshed, retextured), and a dagger (new scabbard by NordWarUA, retextured).

They can be crafted at the Blacksmith Forge using the "Dragon Smithing" (for armor) or "Ebony Smithing" (for weapons) perks, primarily using dragon scale and leather parts, have a high protection rating (at least for light armor), and integrate with other mods like True Mod Armor using the Ebony Weapons and Dragon Scale Armor keywords.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Will you be releasing a Legend Edition version?

A: Personally, I don't play the Legend Edition anymore, but I played it for a long time after the Special Edition came out. While I will continue to release mods on both versions, don't expect every mod I make to be released on Skyrim LE. It has some advantages, but its operation is correct most of the time. Many mods have been ported, and many mods are not easily ported.

Q: I discovered a very small problem with this mod! Please patch it immediately!

A: If there's a bug in it (can't really see what the problem is), I'll patch it when there are enough numbers to fix, rather than constantly uploading patches to it.

Q: Can I do a Caliente "Breast and Butt Expander" conversion on this?

Answer: Continue.

Q: Why are you deleting so many old models?

A: They kind of suck and are pointless all over the place. Plus, the FAQ for them is no longer how I want to present myself on the internet now. I had no intention of ever really starting to take myself seriously, but a lot has happened in my life since then, and looking back at those pages of description, a lot of the things I said in them I can't even imagine being in my life now. People are discovering them, commenting on them, and expecting me to stick with the jokes I made three years ago.

Q: Man, your new description is so boring. I miss the savage, unruly 18-year-old Will who often cited masturbation and became controversial about the game.

A: Well, for the sake of the past, I'm going to make a controversial statement: There is no need to replace the Creation Engine. It needs countless bugfixes in many areas, but Bethesda has no legitimate reason to change it other than a PR.

Q: ...Have you played any Bethesda games in the past decade? They are completely broken.

A: I spent about 4000 on CK and what I saw was -

Q: 4000 hours? Jesus Christ, find a woman.

A: Find a women's man who doesn't come from a strict follower mold. These 4,000 hours started from 5 years of doing it. Sometimes when I go to class, go to the gym, etc., my laptop keeps running CK.

Q: So basically you're not as qualified as you say you are?

A: To be fair, the qualification for most people who think CE is obsolete is that they already have some mod installed with Vortex or MO2, and probably running DyndoLOD or FNIS. Thinking back, the reality is that most of the non-CK fixable bugs in Fallout 4 and Skyrim were caused by Bethesda's poor implementation of the 2010 Havok engine, which is why they changed the animation engine for Starfield. Most of the bugs in Fallout 76 come from the fact that they're trying to make a multiplayer game in an engine that was never intended for mult …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
