In the icy climate north of Solsheim there is a place you can truly call your home away from home...
Welcome to Bayview.
Video review from twallace267. Thank you so much!
what is it?
This mod aims to give adventurers of all kinds a new home in Solstheim, perched above the village of Skaal with a sweeping view of the icy bay below that won't just be any other house - it will suit many of your needs.
feature:
Multiple beds - for you and four more followers!
Fully furnished - fully stocked with food, drink and supplies. By sujamma, okay?
Access handcrafted equipment instantly - Excited to craft new weapons or armor from exotic materials found on the island? This home has it and even has the equipment needed to create a staff!
There are hot baths inside and out! -Yes, you heard me! Just like the pool in the lake view, I built a small tub for the hot dip outside, which would be nice if you used Frostfall. There's also a larger tub inside, just big enough for more entourage! By the way, bathing will cause you and your followers to unequip - but only re-equip your followers (this is a new feature!).
Frost Friendly - Frozen and in urgent need of thawing? No problem, I put a fire pit at the entrance and if you want great winter gear, get ready for the Skaal Arctic Winter Set!
Follower Friendly - Use your newly placed navmesh, and if you use UFO or any of the companion management mods, along with My Home Is Your Home, your followers will be happy to have a bed to sleep in and creature comforts!
(New) Pier and respawn fish! -The previous lake was empty and not satisfied with this, I decided to fill it with fish here. a lot of.
(NEW FEATURE) Navigation Aids - With markers and minimal lighting to ensure you don't hit a stray tree or accidentally go off a cliff.
(New) Black Book Storage! -Thanks to Lazz's Displays (shelf is located in the Ceremony Room)
(New) Add 4 more beds! -These were found in an ancient Norse ceremonial chamber (a former evacuation center for the Skal during the Red Mountain Disaster).
Typically, this mod includes 9 beds, 5 cooking utensils, 4 bookshelves, 5 weapon plaques, 10 weapon racks, 1 large display cabinet, 1 dagger box, multiple shrines, 2 hot baths, a full set of crafts and enough supplies to survive another Red Mountain eruption. Or Miraak's revelation.
Where to find it?
If you're coming from Thirsk Mead Hall, head north along the frozen lake shore.
If you are in Skaal village, behind the two huts is an old Nord gate, on scaffolding above the goat pen.
Upon arrival you will notice a note posted on the door. Read carefully where to find the key (not sure where? Lost it? Use UESP.net's Solstheim interactive map to help you). I added this challenge because some people want to build a house the hard way.
Backstory:
This project came from a simple attempt to provide me with a place to stay on the island. Freeing houses from Severins was nice, but the problem came when my character needed to get out of town and march into shacks.
Sure, I helped Neloth, I helped Skaal, and they made my character one of their kin, but there was no place to rest, sleep, eat, or drink, no place to call home. A tent might help when camping in a village, but nothing beats the security and comfort of a full house, especially in a cold place that can turn soup into ice in minutes.
This job took me four days to complete, using many of the techniques I learned from past mod proj …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
