Adds a nice starter to the game with minimal impact on Skyrim's landscape

dragon's lair

Requiments:

Skyrim SE

Hearthfire DLC

Dragonborn DLC

bone:

This is my first mod, so it's very basic. It's a conveniently located bachelor/bachelorette pad that has minimal impact on the scenery of the game. It has all the crafting workstations to meet Dragonborn's growing needs and provides plenty of secure storage. It also has a very open floor plan with lots of room to move around since I find most vanilla houses to be very cramped. It also has some "family heirlooms" that can help those magicians, alchemists, and blacksmiths if you so choose. Basically it's a place to sleep, work and store to help you start a new life in Skyrim. It's fully compatible with TMPhoenix's Hearthfire Multiple Adoption if you want to move children or spouses. They also have things in and out of the house.

Backstory:

This is where you go before imperialism so rudely deviates from you. The long-forgotten ruins of the Dwemer have been transformed by your family into a safe place to stay in Skyrim. It has been used for many years as a stopover when trading and doing business in Skyrim. All you remember is finding Whiterun, finding a family friend who would express himself in a secret phrase...what again..."What's in the air, won't be good for something, never anything?". The hideout should be just the northern part of their property. Include location markers.

Known issues:

I can't have the mannequin not moving sometimes. They have their own navmesh island which I can't script, so maybe in the future.

Spouses don't open stores, they give you money but don't buy or sell stuff. If anyone knows how to fix this let me know.

Sometimes kids get stuck in non-navigation model quarantine, and they always fix themselves by the time I get back from the adventure.

The grower lets you pick the ingredients. Won't you end up with growlers moaning all the way to your entrance. If anyone knows how to solve it please let me know.

That's all I know and I spend a lot of time there.

Thanks:

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
