Dragon Roar Overhaul

A comprehensive review of the effectiveness, usefulness and overall viability of shouts in Skyrim.

This file is basically the same as the one in Skyrim Contact. There's one bug I'm not interested in fixing - the dragon-born bug where the special word effects you choose won't be applied. Don't know how to fix it, don't care. I just thought I'd reupload the mod.

Most legendary shouts are powerful, destructive forms of magic. When you reach level 30, shouting becomes worthless. This mod changes that. It balances the shouts and even adds some really cool unique effects on the third word. For example, Ice Form will freeze the target on the third word forever, while Soul Tear will create a permanent Thrall (until death). Frost Breath is no longer the frost version of Fire Breath. Now, these are two different tips for different types of players. Things like this make this mod feel special to me.

[Overview]

This mod will completely change the usefulness of shouting in Skyrim. Shout recharge times have been completely reworked based on their effects and power. Shouts like Clear Skies, Animal Allegiance, and Kain's Peace have had their recharge times significantly reduced, while Clear Skies' recharge time has been removed entirely. The duration of shouts such as "Fire Breath" has also been reduced, but it won't be as noticeable in the game.

[Change Log]

-For some reason I missed two shouts in the cheat version. fixed.

-Added cheat versions for all files. see below.

-The damage of the first and second sentences of Unyielding Strength has been reduced. It's not a lot, but it shouldn't be that noticeable. If anything, it makes it less difficult because Draugr uses the first and second words.

-Some shouts I ignored have been modified to be more useful.

-Draugr can no longer use Frost Breath because I find it annoying. Sick of freezing.

• Fixed Draugr's Indomitable Strength. They can no longer pounce on enemies as the player shouts.

-Sadly, the Dragon Aspect now has a 300 second charge time. The stacking effect is too powerful.

-Cyclones are now tornadoes. Use the third word for epic fun. Dragonborn files v2.0

-The indomitable strength is finally made permanent. skyrim files v2.2

-Fixed a glitch that prevented the main mission from being completed. skyrim files v2.0

• Enhanced the power of Relentless and added more bug fixes. skyrim files v1.2
• Fixed an issue with Dragonborn files shouting Dragon Aspect. v 1.1

[Major changes]

• Aura Whispers, Elemental Wrath, Disarm, Frustrating, etc etc now have: higher range/affect enemies at higher levels compared to vanilla.
• All shouts with projectiles have increased speed and range.

-The duration of becoming an ethereal city is greatly increased.

-Call of Courage now summons stronger heroes.

The freezing time of ice forms has been increased, with the third word freezing them permanently.

-Fire Breath is now extremely deadly.

• Breath of Frost's damage is increased and has a frost effect. (Although much weaker than Ice Form itself.)

-The effect of Marked for Death has been increased, and the third word will strip all armor.

• Ruthless Force is now more powerful and deals damage.

[Notable Changes - Dawnguard]

-Durnehviir is much more powerful and will be a valuable asset on the battlefield.

• Soul Rend now deals damage to all words, but if the third word kills the target, it will be dropped. It will follow you until death.

-Drain energy is more powerful.

[Dramatic changes-Dragonborn]

• Cyclone now deals more damage and has greater impact.
• Will-Bending effects are now permanent. Any NPC hit will be marked as an ally and come to your aid. They are not marked as followers.

-Dragon Aspect has been completely changed. Depending on the word, it will increase overall combat ability by a certain amount. Can now be used multiple times per day. For the sake of game stability and m …
