compatibility

Should be compatible with most mods out there. Any modifications to the hotel or shop units may be incompatible. Diaries are placed in internal units. If you place them in an interior cell, they won't get far.

about

I don't like googling every location for Dragon Priest Mask and wish there was at least a way in the game

Provides clues as to the location of the clergy. The purpose of this mod is to manually place a journal in Skyrim, written by an unnamed adventurer/scholar who is also looking for these Dragon Priests and their treasure.

There are a total of 12 hand-placed diaries to collect, each describing the latest reports about the priest and his tomb.

I'm playing Legacy of the Dragonborn. This mod is recommended, but not required. This mod has absolutely no legacy-related dependencies.

The backstory of the guy who wrote the diary is that he was a friend of Auryen's who was tasked with retrieving the priest's mask but apparently somehow didn't succeed. However, they recorded everything they learned about the Dragon Priest and his possible location.

About

I didn't like the thought of googling each and every location of the Dragon Priest masks and wished there was a way in game that at least

provided clues about the location of the dragon priests. This mod aims to fix that by hand placing journals across skyrim written by an unnamed adventurer / scholar who is also in search of these dragon priests and their treasure.

There are 12 hand placed journals in total to collect each journal describes a little bit about the dragon priest and where their tomb was last reported.

I play with the Legacy of the Dragonborn mod. This mod is recommended but not required. This mod has no dependencies related to Legacy in any way.

The backstory of the person writing the journals is a friend of Auryen who was tasked to recover the dragon priest masks but is obviously unsuccessful somehow. However they documented each thing they learned about the Dragon Priests and their possible locations.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
