usage:

When you first load the game with this mod installed, the MCM menu automatically finds all quests from Dragonborn's Legacy and installs all supported mods, listing them in the "Available Quests" section of the corresponding mod page.

As you play the game and start a mission, the mod will automatically move the started mission to the "In Progress" section. It does this by tracking task IDs and updating them automatically using task stages.

Once a task completes/fails, it will move the task to the "Completed Tasks" section and mark the task as complete with a check mark.

This mod has been developed and will continue to be developed for use with Dragonborn's Legacy, optional "modules" for supported mods will still work without Dragonborn's Legacy installed, but.. WARNING!

Legacy of Dragonborn changes many quests in supported mods, and my mod requires these changes to work as expected, so while this mod will work with some supported mods that don't have Legacy installed, I don't recommend it, and your results may vary!

There are currently over 170 quests and supported mods from Legacy of the Dragonborn in the MCM that are automatically tracked and updated, if you don't know what a Radiant Quest is, there are 6 "Radiant Quests" that are not automatically updated... Small repeatable quests (usually) that can be completed many times.. e.g. getting items, selling wood, etc. With Fallout missions, you'll find that you can toggle in the menu to manually mark them as complete, or you can leave them as available, it's entirely up to you.

v2.5+ comes with a "Refresh Mod List" button in the homepage "Mod Info", pressing this button will force the MCM to recheck the supported Mods in the load order and refresh the MCM accordingly.

V2.5+ also comes with dynamically allocated pages, which are allocated at installation time and when using "Refresh Module List". .It works like this:

MCM search supported modules

MCM then builds a list of found modules

MCM dynamically assigns a number to each page

MCM builds and constructs the page to be displayed.

This does help with the overall functionality of the menus, for example if the user only has Mod 1 and Mod 9 installed they will be left with 7 blank pages between them which makes it even more annoying to use this new feature and not be able to access the menus they want. The pages will be grouped together and all mods installed/not installed will simply be reassigned a page number during playback.

Save files must be cleaned when upgrading to a newer version.

Since this mod is still in development and prone to regular updates, in rare cases a new version may require a fresh save to run correctly, so the steps to clear this mod's save file are as follows:

Download Fallrim Tools and follow the instructions on the mod page to install it.

Open Resaver.exe and select the (latest) save file at the top.

Click "OK" and "Save Read" will pop up.

Type "HawkesLOTD_MCM" in the box on the right next to the "Clear Filter" button.

Right click and delete the folder "Script Instances" (should only have 2 elements) then click File, Save, OK to overwrite.

Enter the game and open the console, type the following command SetStage SKI_ConfigManag …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
