Do you remember Drachis Argonians? This is basically that face, remastered in 4k.
Base:
Textures are from the original mod
Quite a jury rigged
They're pretty bad because I'm not good with any textures
I guess you can use them however you want. If you use them in a refactor, it seems only fair to just link back to this and give me credit.
Textures come in black and white, as well as a sandier "original/vanilla" color
Comes with 2k tintmasks edited to match the brow stuff
Spells are also included, but may look a bit funky as they were originally designed for the Dragonic Argonian texture
So what exactly is this mod?
I've been trying to create nice custom textures for my Argonian characters. I've always really liked the look of the original Drachis Argonians mod, but the textures were pretty low and I personally had some issues with them. So when you can't get what you need for texture, you have to make it yourself. This is the result of all my work, released as a transparent texture file that you can apply on any Argonian retexture mod. While it may not blend well with everything, I personally use the Dragonic Argonian Textures (Male/Female) variant of my edit because I really like the more dragon-like look of my Argonians. (Isn’t this a bit strange?)
So what exactly is this mod not?
This mod is not a reconstruction. This is nothing more than the eyebrow texture I had from the original mod. Don't just put this file in NMM, Vortex, Mo2, etc. All this does is add some files that shouldn't be floating around in the game directory and make no changes. Use this mod as a supplement in some form of retexture, as it is meant to be placed on top of any and all Argon retextures. Except for the original, which looks weird.
How do I use it?
I personally use a free program called Paint.NET. Use this to edit the .DDS file of the face texture and place it on top. It might not look that good without matching normals, which I use to make my Dragonic Argonian texture. Normals were originally created by ChaserTech for Dragonic Argonian mods, so full credit to them.

Do you remember Drachis Argonians? This is basically the face bit from that, remade in 4k.
The basics:
Textures are derived from the original mod
Fairly jury-rigged
They are pretty bad, since I'm no good at texturing anything
Feel free to use them for whatever you want, I guess. Just link back to this and credit me if you use them in a retexture, that seems fair.
The texture is available in black and white, and a more sandy "original/vanilla" colour
Comes with edited 2k tintmasks to match the brow thing
Normals are also included, but might look a bit funky as they were originally designed for the Dragonic Argonian textures

So what exactly isn't this mod?
This mod is not a retexture. This is nothing but the brow texture I've jury-rigged from the original mod. Don't just plop this file in NMM, Vortex, Mo2, etc. All that will do is add some files that shouldn't be floating around your game directory, and change nothing. Use this mod in a retexture of some kind as an addition, as it's meant to be placed over top of any and all argonian retextures. …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
