"Kingdom of Lorkhan" brings the game back to life by giving you an otherworldly "Character Creation Area".
This mod replaces the game's original execution scene. Instead, once you press NEW GAME, you are transported to the "Rohan Kingdom". In it, you will buy equipment, stand on stones, pray to gods, and finally choose a location to start the game.
You have the option (but not the need at all) to choose categories such as Bard, Knight, Mage, Barbarian, Acrobat. There are also "boons and curses" that can help you balance your game.
The goal of this mod is to give you full control over your starting experience.
Want to start as an ordinary farmer? Apprentice at the Mage Academy? Maybe a simple blacksmith? mercenary? Chinese medicine practitioner? hunter? It all depends on you.
Prepare for their adventure by talking to Lorkhan's merchants, who sell clothing, armor, weapons, potions, scrolls, and other starter items. You only need 500 gold coins. Maybe you’ll squander everything. Maybe you’ll do whatever it takes to start getting rich. There is a wide variety of starter items, plus materials for sale to craft your own starter armor.
When you're ready to start the game, touch one of several gems, each of which will take you to a distinct area of the game world. You can also return to the Kingdom of Lorkhan by returning to the starting gem (although you cannot fast travel back there).
Where should you start? Winterhold Academy for mages? Farmer's home? Cyrodiil's borders? Blackreach's dungeon? Autumn forest in Riften? The green woods of Falkreath?
Maybe you'll go for a survivalist race, starting out as an under-equipped shipwreck survivor near the Dawn Star. Or take to the dungeon as a brave adventurer. Even the humble Smith drill is possible. It's all up to you and your choices.
Play Skyrim exactly how you want to play it from the get-go. Create your own character and the possibilities are endless.

Task
Sphere of Lorkhan keeps the main quest 99% intact, with just a few changes at the start. You can report information about a dragon attack in Helgen to Whiterun, but you won't start with anything in the quest log. This allows you to still become a Dragonborn, but it doesn't force you.
You can also start the Civil War quest line by visiting Jarl Ulfric or General Tullius without any allegiance to the Civil War. Both Hadvar and Ralof should be relaxing in their own homes.
I'm very happy with what I've done here, and I think it will benefit your sandbox-style gaming greatly!
Departure point
To exit the Kingdom of Lorhkan and start the game properly, you can choose from the gems floating around the area. Gems work both ways, so if you make the wrong choice, it's easy to come back. If you don't like seeing gems, you can disable the mod on existing save games.
You can also use the command 'coc' to exit Realm and spawn wherever you want. Here is a guide to using coc

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
