About this mod Machine translation
Add and change NPC dialogue to reflect your status as a Dragonborn, Archmage, Listener or Harbinger.
Are you the Dragon Slayer of Arduin, the savior of the world, the most powerful mortal alive?
Are you tired of self-important NPCs telling you that you are worthless and weak?
Do you get annoyed at fools who threaten you with physical harm when you can obviously destroy them with the gentle touch of your fingers?
Do you occasionally wonder why no one seems to recognize your greatness after a cunning NPC walks off the cliff?
Well, wonder no more because you can now ask these sanctimonious idiots that it’s a very important question…
Do you know who I am?
Many of Skyrim's NPCs will previously try to block your progress, fully believing that their low-power position affords them some kind of protection, and they'll respond to this question appropriately. Suppose you are actually Dragon Yin.
describe:
This mode changes several NPCs (more to come! Stay tuned!) who think they are better or more important than the world's savior.
It adds six-word questions to their dialogue, allowing you to bypass or complete their specific portions of these quests without violence. Other NPCs have unique dialogue boxes to notice that you are a dragon.
This does not add, nor is it planned to add, to the ability of any bandit or other eternally hostile being to recognize your greatness. If anything, this is another mod's stuff.
I did this mostly because I was annoyed by the quest "The Staff of Magnus" in the Academy of Winterhold, and encountered Estormo, who somehow believed he could kill you even though you'd just walked through a dungeon full of undead horrors and magical monsters. There was no way he was going to start scratching. Then a friend suggested Radiant Rogue and this mod was born.
I'll add some NPCs as I find them, or as people have suggested.
If you are not officially recognized as a Dragonscream, don't expect anyone to recognize your great strength, and if you don't kill Alduin, don't expect anyone to be in awe of your fighting prowess.
This mod is UNVOICED and uses Fuz Ro D-oh.

This mod is a work in progress. It currently affects the following NPCs:
Spoiler: Show
Possible conflicts, note, CAVEATS:
Anything that changes the dialogue tree for said mission is likely to conflict. This mod changes a lot of vanilla dialogue, so if anything else modifies these themes, conflicts will almost certainly occur
Changing things about the NPCs themselves (such as their appearance) should be no problem.
Please note that the entries for Nepos the Nose, Riften Gate Guards, Magrol and the Bandits of Valtheim Towers edit the vanilla script... hope I didn't spoil anything.
NOTE: This will overwrite these scripts! If other mods, such as USKP, edit those (and it does IIRC), this will revert the fix. Sorry, it was the only way I knew how to do it at the time!
You can delete those scripts before putting the mod into the data directory and it *should* work fine, it's just those three things that won't update.
This mod is technically incompatible with Birds of Skyrim. That said, the mods work well together, but some birds may speak to the player from time to time after defeating Alduin. It may not be compatible with any other mods added to NPCs in technically playable matches.
A note about Alpha Software:
To be honest, I haven't paid much attention to SSE so far - I've been waiting for the various modes before actually getting into SSE (at the time of writing, I played 36 minutes on SSE according to Steam).
So I haven't followed SSE's mod and utility progress.
For SSE, DYKWIA requires some mods and external utilities, which as far as I know work, but some are listed as alpha.
- SSE’s stock exchange may not be fully mature yet. As far as I know it works flawlessly.
--Fuz Ro D'oh just came out, but I do tend to believe it. IIRC there is another alternative that claims to do the same thing, …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
