Smash objects into pieces and watch the physical pieces fly everywhere. Be careful in taverns or shops as guards will not take kindly to such reckless vandalism. This is a small sample for testing purposes. This mod has only been tested on a clean free save for a short period of time, which is why this is a beta. There may be incompatibilities, so it is recommended that you make another save before installing this mod.
What is currently affected:
Most buckets include storage buckets.
Ordinary chair.
Many Nordic ruins jars and urns.
If it's in places like shops, taverns, and people's homes, you'll get a bounty. A small satchel will drop from the destroyed container, allowing you to retrieve the container's contents when you destroy the container. It can sometimes be difficult to see all the ruins. After 24 hours of game time, destroyed objects will revert to their default undamaged state, and any loot from damaged containers will be reset, so be sure to grab anything important right away.
Please report any issues and let me know how game performance is affected. Many new objects and features will be added.
Update v0.2:
Added some breakable tables (common round and square tables)
Added some breakable bookshelves (normal full size)
Added havok physics for some static objects, which are often found on top of tables and other surfaces. (candle, sack)
Updated the container script to place the bag on top of the debris instead of below it
Updated other scripts to add a variable that controls whether you get in trouble for breaking content
If you want to set the length of time for object reset, you can use the console command "set resetobjectdamagetimer to (insert hours here)" without quotes and brackets. If you don't want to get into trouble smashing objects you shouldn't be using, then use the console command "set objectdamagewarnguards to 0" without quotes. If you don't remember the variable names then use the command "showglobalvars".
Here's a very old video from 2015 showing what this mod can do. NOTE: A lot of these objects don't belong in this version because they were lost and I started from scratch.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
