describe
This mod will make all showcase cases in the game destructible (except the Hearthfire case). You can disrupt and disrupt any situation, regardless of its lockdown difficulty, using the following methods:
Blunt objects such as maces and metal gloves
fire and frost spells
The second and third sentences "The power of unforgiveness"
Khajiits and Argonians can use their claws to open a hole in glass (i.e. you have to do it unarmed).
Craft a glass cutter (with 1 ebony ingot, 1 steel ingot, and 2 leather straps) that can cut glass invisibly.
You can turn these methods on and off in MCM.
But don't think you can destroy the case without hesitation.
If anyone catches your behavior, you will be fined. Shattering glass can also attract nearby guards and NPCs to the scene of the noise. If they catch you, you'll be fined. If they can't find anyone at the crime scene, they patrol the area. If they find you, they will determine if you have committed a crime and then fine you. The bounty is cumulative (if 5 people spot you, it's 5 times the fine).
Using claws and glass cutters to cut glass won't make any noise, but you'll still get caught if they see you doing it.
notes
Broken case using vanilla path and texture settings
Only one case has no glass shards when fully damaged (displaycasesmangled01) because I can't get static collision to work properly.
Arrows will stay in place instead of falling if broken.
Guards and NPCs will give up searching if they can't find you after 90 seconds.
You can see a number of statistics showing cases under General - Crime
Install
If you have any mods that retrofit display cabinets - load them after them if you want destructible chests. Or a merged patch is created.
Overwrite and replace everything when upgrading to 1.3
compatibility
Not compatible with any mod that modifies vanilla showcases (except texture and mesh replacers - see below)
Compatible with texture replacers using default texture paths.
Technically compatible with mesh replacers that use their own texture paths - nothing will be overwritten, but it might look weird if the full case has a set of textures and the broken case has a default texture
Technically compatible with mesh replacers that add environment maps etc - broken cases will not have these features.
I don't recommend mods that make the glass completely transparent, as the glass shards are barely visible.
Compatible with any mod that improves crime or increases bounties - this mod uses it's own detection system. Mods are recommended, these do more than just allow you to have no consequences when a guard accuses you.

Thanks to jonwd7 for helping me solve the grid problem
Thanks to r/skyrimmods for the initial ideas and features
The glass cutter uses an improved mesh from the Ghosu scalpel mod.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
