Derkeethus' improved SE-Argon minion

Derkeethus Improvement was originally created in 2014 to fix the only Argonian follower in the base game. Improvements and bug fixes make him feel more unique than the Bethesda default. Take it to SE now!

Derkeethus is the only Argonian companion in Skyrim, and in 2014 I decided to tackle these big questions

Bethesda gave him; fixed him up and gave him a proper lore-friendly overhaul. This is my first mod

After returning to Skyrim and playing with the Special Edition, I decided now was the time to bring this mod to SE.

Derkeethus default value:

The emotion of fear lasts forever

No perks - he is virtually useless in any actual combat situation

Low basic health

Constantly running away from combat due to low base health and low courage

When he became more adept at using a bow, he often used it for melee combat

He can only be level 30 with you at most

He dual-wields only when given two pickaxes

No spells, not even healing spells

Distinctive character design - nothing more distinctive than the other Argonians except his curved horns

Report any crimes he witnesses you committing (Bad Derky!)

Base health has been slightly improved, giving him more survivability

Derkeethus is now set to Foolhardy; thus preventing him from escaping from combat

Custom Combat AI Pack He will now bow down on melee weapons unless an enemy is facing him.

Derkeethus can carry heavy ore in the mines and therefore can carry more weight than its usual companions.

Derkeethus specializes in managing stamina and one-handed weapons

Derkeethus will now level up with you up to level 200

Derkeethus can now dual-use any weapon you give him in either hand

Derkeethus will use his healing spells and alteration spells

Derkeethus now has a very original look to him that's still lore-friendly while giving him the youthful goofball look he's always needed: light green skin/dark green military paint/yellow pupils/yellow neck

Derkeethus now ignores all crimes you have committed

NO PERKS - he is pretty much useless in any real combat situation

Flees from combat CONSTANTLY due to the low base health always running out and his low courage setting

Constantly engages in melee combat over using his bow when he is better at using his bow

He only levels with you up to 30

He dual wields only when given two pickaxes

No spells... not even a healing spell

Unoriginal character design - nothing sets him apart from other Argonians except for his curled horns
