Chapter 2

What is Chapter 2?

Skyrim's soundtrack is my favorite score ever. It's not that I associate the music with a sense of nostalgia for the game, or that I associate it with the game Skyrim, because musically it's because it conveys a sense of "world". How Soule makes his work feel "cold" and "natural" to the listener is truly a remarkable thing, and I don't know of any other composer who can do that.

Being a composer myself, I wanted to try and create similar music to his beautiful compositions in The Elder Scrolls. I studied and analyzed all the tracks from Oblivion and Skyrim and began to notice subtle patterns and trends in his songs. Using these composition skills, I began producing and later posting my own Elder Scrolls style music on my YouTube channel.

I'm now going to make an entire hour of fan-made Elder Scrolls style ambient fantasy music and decided to combine it all into one high quality music module.

This isn't a generic YouTube mashup of fantasy or orchestral music, but a playlist of songs that fit perfectly into the existing Skyrim score. So it still has that "Elder Scrolls" feel to it. Atmospheric, ambient, subtle and natural, without loud busy melodies or distracting fast-paced flute riffs.

For all the music nerds out there, no, this mod does not include universal chord progressions that are overused in almost all music, such as 1-6-3-7 (i VI III VII) or 1-5- 6-4 (IV-VI-IV). Therefore, it will feel new and authentic rather than recycled.

Install:

Just drop the ESP into the Data folder of your Skyrim directory and you'll see how it works!

There are 3 versions of this mod, one is an alternative version of some of the original soundtrack, and one is a version that adds new tracks to the game instead of replacing them (the recommended version).

Chapter 2 will work with any other mod. With other music mods you may get conflicts. Let me know if you encounter any conflicting mods.
