About this mod Machine translation

Replaced the Dawnstar Sanctuary torture chamber with a workshop.

Skyrim LE (2011) | Skyrim SE (2016)

This mod changes the "where do you put the enemy's head" quest (Dark Brotherhood SanctuaryRepair) so that you can convert it into a workshop instead of rebuilding the Dark Brotherhood's torture chamber. Delvin's dialogue has been modified to accommodate this decision, and the resulting workshop includes a blacksmith's forge, armor table, whetstone, weapon rack, enchantment table, tanning rack, large chest, and two bookshelves. There will be a note on this charming table that will allow you to complete the treasure hunting sprite normally obtained by torturing the victim in the now-replaced torture chamber.

Before starting to repair Dawnstar Sanctuary, it is best to install this mod. It's a tight space, but the followers should be able to follow you normally, although it may take a few seconds to find their way around the sides of the blacksmith's forge. If you encounter any problems please let me know!

This mod changes the quest "Where You Hang Your Enemy's Head" (DarkBrotherhoodSanctuaryRepair), so that instead of rebuilding the Dark Brotherhood torture room, you convert it into a workshop. Delvin's dialogue has been modified to accommodate this decision, and the resulting workshop includes a blacksmith's forge, an armor table, a grindstone, a weapon rack, an enchanting table, a tanning rack, a large chest and two bookshelves. There will be a note on the enchanting table that allows you to complete the treasure hunt miniquests that are normally obtained by torturing the victims from the now replaced torture chamber.

It's best to install this mod before you begin the quest to repair the Dawnstar Sanctuary. It's a bit of a cramped space but followers should be able to follow you normally, though it may take them a few seconds to find a way around the sides of the blacksmith's forge. Let me know if you run into any issues!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
