About this mod Machine translation
It's Daybreaker, but bigger.
What's this?
A sophisticated broadsword version of the Paladin's best friend, Dawn Sunder. With notes of vanilla and sacred land mythology.
Why does it exist?
For the longest time, I used Dawnbreaker as my primary weapon whenever I played a Paladin-type character, and that's because Dawnbreaker (legacy of being the best undead killing weapon in Tameriel) is a one-handed weapon. Then I discovered Zim's "Immersive Artifact", which introduced the ability to switch from the one-handed Dawnbreaker to a more advanced longsword version (created by Leanwolf) and enhanced its functionality and usability. But, like everything else in life, shiny new mods are released that also improve Dawnbreaker (and other minor Daedric Artifacts). One of these quickly became a permanent addition to my loading list - a mythical treasure. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the option to switch from the boring one-handed Dawnbreaker to the great greatsword version of the BBS (Big Beautiful Sword). So I decided to remedy this and this is the result.
Stand on the shoulders of giants.
(aka the ways and means of this mod)
With Leanwolf's permission, I picked up his standalone Dawnbreaker Greatsword mod and tweaked it. I removed the weapon from Forelhost and used the standard version of Dawnbreaker to make it easier to craft. It's that simple. This allows you to switch between the one-handed and greatsword versions of the weapon any time you want to use the Forge, but keep in mind (and this should go without saying) that doing so will cause you to lose any attunement you made to the previous version of the weapon. For the Reliquary of Myth version of this mod, I adjusted the longsword's value for consistency and added the Dawnbreaker keyword to keep things nice and powerful. Additionally, I added a condition in both versions of the mod that will keep the hidden crafting option hidden unless you have a sword in your inventory.
l
- Get the Dawnbreaker
- To forge
- Make the great sword Dawnbreaker
- Fight undead things until they die again
compatibility:
This mod should be compatible with anything. Includes mods that modify vanilla Dawnbreaker. In fact, if these mods change DA09EncDawnbreaker's enchantment, those changes should apply to the longsword version as well. This mod is also 100% compatible with Leanwolf's standalone greatsword Dawnbreaker mod.

Q: How to do FAQ if you just released a mod?
Answer: This is a good question.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
