Daighre - Happy Ending SSE

An immersive way to marry Daighre and adopt her daughter Erith in the Left Hand Mine of Markarth.

Marriage Daighre Requirements

• Complete the pursuit of Marriage Bonds, including talking to Maramal about Maram and Dai Maram's amulet.
• Have a vanilla house with a kid's bed. Without this, you don't get marriage dialogue.
• Complete the task Kolskeggr Mine cleanup and report to Pavo in the left hand mine.
• Talk to Daighre and make suggestions.

Adopt Erith's request

• Marry Daighre and take her to a vanilla house with a child's bed.
• Talk to Ellis about adoption.

You also let her dog Torom continue to follow Erith. This is set by the vanilla game.

The original parody author warned against choosing her home immediately after the wedding. In my testing, Daighre ended up returning to the left-hand mine seemingly losing her default AI. She just stood doing nothing. Also, the only option for adopting Erith is to go into the vanilla house I already own that has a kid's bed. You can still live here, but you must first enter a vanilla house, complete Erith's adoption, and then choose to move to Daighre's old house.

Immediately after moving into the Vanilla House, you can ask Daighre for the key to her house. This key will give you full ownership of Daighre's house. You can sleep and store your belongings there. However, in her house there are only two single beds and nothing else. Any vanilla home will be a better home. Additionally, mining is hard work and this is a dangerous area of ​​Skyrim. It would be better to move your family somewhere else. Daighre's Old House is the best little place to visit when traveling around Markarth.

You should choose this option immediately after the wedding. You will need to return to the Left Hand Mine to complete adopting Erith (and her dog Torom). Once in the vanilla home, Daighre and Erith will use the default spouse/daughter AI settings. If you use Improved Adoption (mod #4713) they will use that mod's schedule.

Daighre's clothing

Original mode gives you the option through dialogue to dress Daighre in plain green clothing and remove the miner's clothing and pickaxe. I've encountered two problems. First of all, the dress is not green. Second, it appears invisible the first time you select it. All you see is Daighre's head, arms and legs. This is solved by her changing position through the loading screen.

It can also be solved by opening the console, clicking on Daighre, and typing DISABLE, then immediately typing ENABLE. Do not close the console between commands or the Daighre will be lost and you will have to load a previous save. These two commands reset Daighre and her clothes look normal. Both of these issues could be caused by the costume change mode I'm using.

Load order

It really doesn't matter. This mod only changes some dialogue options. It doesn't touch any NPC records.

Daighre and Erith appearance in photos

In the photos I have using this mod, Daighre got her appearance from the mod Lady Faces (mod #5630). Erith gets her appearance from mod the Kids Are Alright (mod #9175).
