About this mod Machine translation
ixin is the SSE port of Cutie Foxies. Replaced vanilla fox and snow fox meshes and textures
Skyrim LE/Original mod page: Cutie Foxies
For the main file, I actually just ran the mesh through the SSE NIF Optimizer and fixed the name of a misnamed texture. I can't say I understand what this means, but there's nothing wrong with meshes or textures
Optional files
All optional files are formatted as ESL
MT_MeekoFoxRed
Turn Meeko into a red fox and reduce its scale from 1 to .8
Made Meeko essential and allowed him to scale to PC level (10->unlimited at 1x rate) instead of being limited to 25
Increases Mick's health and gives him invisibility-related perks
Nothing else. He still uses dog animations and sounds because I'm sure changing his race to FoxRace would hurt him
If you don't download the main file, he will still look like a fox, but the mesh and textures will be whatever you have installed
MT_MeekoFoxSnow: Same as above, except now he looks like a snow fox and his scale is .7
MT_VigilanceFoxRed
Identical to Meeko the Red Fox, except Vigilance is slightly larger (0.85 scale) and no longer affects the stealth meter like Meeko does. He is also given a 15% damage bonus, which is referred to as a "trained war dog"
MT_VigilanceFoxSnow: Same as above, except now he looks like a fox and his weight is .75
MT_FriendlyFoxes
Protect all foxes (including pumpkins) and make Kit, the Hearthfire children's pet fox, essential
All foxes are slightly faster, have better stats, and scale to PC level (kit is .5x PC level/1x)
Put all foxes into a unique faction so they can no longer run away from you or be attacked by hunters, but can still be attacked normally (e.g. by sabers and spiders)
Also makes red foxes slightly larger than snow foxes (.67 scale vs. .58 scale)
Incompatibility
Assuming anything that changes the fox mesh or texture is incompatible
Apparently, anything editing Meeko is incompatible with optional Meeko files, and anything editing Vigilance is incompatible with optional Vigilance files.

The optional files
All optional files are formatted as ESLs
MT_MeekoFoxRed
changes Meeko's into that of a red fox and reduces his scale from 1 down to.8
makes Meeko essential and allows him to scale to PC level (10 -> infinite at 1x rate) instead of being capped at 25
increases Meeko's health and gives him stealth related perks
and nothing else. He still uses dog animations and sounds because I'm pretty sure changing his race to FoxRace would break him
he should still look like a fox if you don't download the main files, but the mesh and texture will be whatever you already have installed
MT_MeekoFoxSnow: same as above, except now he looks like a snow fox and his scale is.7
MT_VigilanceFoxRed
same thing as red fox Meeko, except Vigilance is slightly bigger (.85 scale) and no longer affects the stealth meter, like Meeko. He also has a perk for 15% increased damage, as he is called a "trained war dog"
MT_VigilanceFoxSnow: same as above, except now he looks like a snow fox and his scale is.75
MT_FriendlyFoxes
protects all foxes (including Pumpkin) and makes Kit (Hearthfire kids' pet fox) essential
all foxes are slightly faster, have better stats, and scale to PC level (.5x PC level/1x for Kit)
puts all foxes into a unique faction so they no longer run from you or get attacked by hunters, but will otherwise still be attacked normally (such as by sabrecats and spiders)
also makes red foxes slightly bigger than snow foxes (.67 scale and.58 scale)
Incompatibilities
Assume that anything that changes the fox meshes or textures is incompatible
Anything that edits Meeko will obviously be incompatible with the optional Meeko file …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
