About this mod Machine translation

This is a weapon replacement tool that turns the Create Club's Umbra sword into a one-handed weapon, appropriately scaling the blade to longsword size.

I was a child of oblivion, and as a 12-year-old avant-garde, Umbra was my weapon of choice. It kind of frustrated me when they chose to bring it back with two hands (Morrowind fans please don't hit me), so I fixed it. I used a one-handed sword and made the blade shorter and thinner, and had a collision net. It should still be slightly longer than a regular vanilla sword and the hilt should still be the original size since I want it to be like a longsword, but if you have a better shaped weapon from LeanWolf it should feel at home.

In terms of damage, it matches Miraak's sword, but weighs the same as a Daedric sword, which should make it at least a candle to unexplored custom-enchanted weapons.

Slightly lowered the cost of enchantments. That's not to say you'll ever use the Soul Trap enchantment and everything else, but refilling it every two enemies becomes very tedious. Slightly reduced the duration of Soul Trap.

I made sure the collision box fit perfectly and worked properly on the weapon rack and monitor.

Obviously, this requires Creation Club's Umbra.

I'm an Oblivion kid, and as a proper edgy 12 year old, Umbra was my go-to weapon. This left me kinda bummed when they chose to bring it back as a two-hander (Morrowind fans please don't hit me), so I fixed it. I made it a one handed sword and made the blade slightly shorter and thinner, with a collision mesh to match. It should still be slightly longer than the average vanilla sword and the hilt is still the original size because I wanted to keep it feeling like a longsword, but if you have LeanWolf's Better-Shaped Weapons it should feel right at home.

It matches Miraak's Sword in terms of damage but weighs as much as a Daedric Sword, this should let it at least hold a candle to non-exploited custom enchanted weapons.

Slightly reduced the cost of the enchantment. It's not that you ever run out with the soul trap enchantment and all, but refilling it every couple of enemies got pretty tedious. Slightly reduced the duration of the Soul Trap.

I made sure the collision box fit pretty well and that it worked correctly on weapon racks and displays.

Obviously, it requires Umbra from the Creation Club.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
