Disclaimer: This mod is not for everyone, as it will make storing large amounts of loot more difficult (and possibly more tedious for some). But I thought I'd share it for those interested in adding a sense of realism to their games. [/left]
1.Requirements
Latest version of Skyrim and SKSE.
2.Container
In Vanilla Skyrim, any container can hold an unlimited amount of items. I found this immersion-breaking, so with some help I came up with a mod that adds a weight limit to most containers.
Weight limits for each container are listed below. Every time you deposit an item into a container, the limit and current weight in the container will also be displayed in the upper left corner as a notification message. (The mod does not require any DLC, although containers added by DLC are covered!)
Weight limit: 10

•Small bag

•Spit basin
Weight limit: 50

•Big bag
- Spider web bag
Weight limit: 100
•Endtables
•Big urn
Weight limit: 125
•coffin

•Wardrobe
•drawer
- Small Apocrypha Urn (Dawnguard DLC)
•Dragonborn DLC
Weight limit: 150
•Small Dwemer container
•Aprocypha Urn (Medium) (Dawnguard DLC)
Weight limit: 175
•Ruin small chest
•Riekling Tent (Dragonborn DLC)
Weight limit: 200

•Falmer Chests
•Snow Elf Box (Dawnguard DLC)
•Soul Cairn(Dawnguard DLC)
Weight limit: 225
•Dwemer box
•Large debris box
all other containers -> 150
3.Arrow
I gave all arrows a weight of 0.1. This won't show up in the in-game arrow descriptions as that's an engine limitation, but the script will handle them as if they have this "invisible weight". This will apply to all containers, so arrows will also count towards the maximum weight.
In addition to this, I've given a cap of 100 arrows for all minions, so you can't transfer all arrows to a minion.
Lockpicks also now have a weight of 0.1, and gold has a weight of 0.01.
4.Performance
The mod contains a script that is only active when adding and removing items from the containers listed above. It doesn't store any data on your save, nor does it modify any in-game assets. Removing this mod from playback will not cause any issues or errors, however, as with deleting any mod mid-player, it is best to clear your save after deletion.
- Incompatible
Any house mod that uses an auto-sort script. (Yes, including Dragonborn's Legacy) These mods most likely won't crash you, but there is no limit on all containers affected by auto-sorting, which defeats the purpose of this mod.
6.Permissions
To be clear: this mod cannot be used in paid projects/mods, as the resulting work cannot be released under the same license.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
