The enchantment on Azdal's Water Walking Boots is both fun and useful, so it's a waste and can't be learned through disenchantment. There are several water sports enchantments on the game, but they tend to be incomplete: they usually drop a pair of boots somewhere in Dragonreach with these enchantments attached. Therefore, I decided to post my own solution based on the implementation of Bloody Beagle, which allows us to make boots, rings and a water walking necklace.
Apparently, this spellbinding charm will have you jogging through a sea of ghosts, if that's your thing. Additionally, followers equipped with Jet Ski gear will be able to join you, although any NPC using regular pathfinding AI will not follow you due to the lack of mesh. This means that escaping out to sea would be an effective way to escape a group of bandits.
Where you would normally find silenced boots in a dungeon, a bandit's fort, or someone's house, now you will start looking for water walking boots from which you can learn spells yourself. Pre-enchanted Water Walking rings and necklaces have also been added to the random loot list, so you might find one in some of the schmuck's pockets.
I've added the Frostfall keyword to the new water walking boots, in line with their fandom.
Finally, this mod's plugin is an ESPFE and does not take up a normal place in your load order. Since i'm not that important, to take up more space you might use more waitu mods.
This mod should be broadly compatible with almost everything, generating a bash/smashed/merged patch with the usual caveats only if some other mod changes the same level list.

The enchantment on Ahzidal's Boots of Waterwalking is interesting and useful, so it's kind of a waste that it can't be learned through disenchantment. There are a couple of waterwalking enchantments here, but they tend to be incomplete: they'll often just throw down a pair of boots with the enchantment on them somewhere in Dragonreach. So I've decided to publish my own solution – based on Bloody Beagle's implementation – that allows us to make boots, rings, and necklaces of waterwalking.
Obviously, this waterwalking enchantment will let you go for a jog in the Sea of Ghosts, if that strikes your fancy. Moreover, followers with waterwalking gear equipped will be able to join you, though any NPC using the usual pathfinding AI won't follow you past the shore, due to a lack of navmeshing. This means running out to sea will be an effective way to escape a horde of bandits.
Wherever you would normally find boots of muffling in a dungeon, bandit fort, or somebody's house, you'll now start finding boots of waterwalking from which you can learn the spell for yourself. A pre-enchanted ring and necklace of waterwalking have also been added to random loot lists, so you might find one in some schmuck's pockets.
I've added Frostfall keywords to the new boots of waterwalking, consistent with their unenchanted counterparts.
Finally, this mod's plugin is an ESPFE that won't take up a normal slot in your load order. Because I'm not so self-important as to gobble up space you could be using for more waifu mods.
This mod should be widely compatible with just about everything, with only the usual caveat that you'll need to generate a bashed/smashed/merged patch if any other mods change the same levelled lists.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
